Weird seeing a 4 PM afternoon tilt especially on a Saturday dont see it often but non the less, really excited for another game. This team is well coached, This team has bought in to what this staff has been saying and like Savard said in the Windsor Star I dont think we will see to much of a let up this season. Very underrated offence and defence, and were seeing it from pretty much everyone, rookies to overages are all putting in the work and not only are playing good but getting better as this season progresses. Let's hope for another game with the foot on the gas, it seems Savard has been good with driving that home, to give it 100% every shift of every game and minus the Erie game where there was a lack of defence and the 3rd game in 3 nights we have seen a great compete level. Hope we see another high offence game from our Spitfires and hope to pick up another early 2 point on the road they all will help in the end of the season.

Cheers!🍻
Go Spits Go,🏒👍

Maybe an unpopular opinion but i think Costanzo needs to get more starts to put some pressure on Onuska. Onuska hasn’t looked that good to start the year in my opinion.
It shouldn't be that unpopular. Thought similar a week to 10 days ago. Costanzo is in his draft eligible year if they're interested in grooming a goalie for the future and building up his draft stock this is a good time. It's not as cut and dry as that but last year they valued Tovell over Downey. Not sure why and I am fairly confident playing Downey over Tovell wouldn't have swayed them standings wise but I think in general trusting a young goalie when you want to stack points is difficult for a lot of organizations.

Onuska has never been high on my List. Has had some solid games the past two years but in my opinion he isn't any better then Medina. Onuska has played as good as the team defence in front of him, hes not going to steal you tons of games. But hes not terrible just more of an average goalie to me at least, Savard/Bowler and Crew have put there faith into him so were going to have to go with it. Expecting Constanzo in the pipes tonight, which so far this season has made the Niagara trade look great from our side. We got him for pocket change and the next few years he could be real good in this league. Let's hope!!

Go Spits Go!!!

I can see why they have not named a team captain yet. Nobody yesterday grabbing the reins when they needed someone to lead the charge. A lot of lackluster play against a good team is a recipe for a loss. They have played hard for most games so hopefully this is a good lesson for them.
Might be a tough night for Kingston tonight.

I agree that Costanzo should get more starts, assuming he plays today and again assuming he plays well he should start Thursday vs Peterborough and then on Saturday vs London Onuska gets the start against his former teammates.
I think having to heal all summer didn't help Onuska get better in the areas he needed to improve on,average tending in this league won't cut it.

WINDSOR
Onuska never made the big save when the score required it. 5.3 GA average last 3 games is horrible. Blame goalie, blame D or blame forwards not covering or getting back, the bleeding needs to stop. To be fair Onuska save percentage is relatively the same as last year but 0.7 higher GAA this year so far. That does spell defensive issues. No doubt Costanzo needs more starts as a fantastic goalie can save you 1 goal a game they shouldn't have. That spells victories. Team complacent in front of Onuska or Onuska complacent now that Medina is gone? Better get it righted quick. 2of 3 last games Spits clearly outclassed at both ends.

Some thoughts...

- Onuska and Costanzo are 1A/1B, not 1/2. Costanzo continues to show incredible poise and maturity for his age. Hopefully he can get more starts.
- Miedema is becoming the player everyone was hoping for; uses his size and speed to get to the net and a beauty shot for a goal. Plus, a couple of helpers? Nice three point game.
- Maggio/Peer/Christo/Maillet are just fun to watch. They rarely have a night off.
- Glad to see Hebek finally get on the board. He hasn't done much so far but hopefully this builds his confidence.
- We're seeing this team stick up for each other at every opportunity, which is nice to see. Had a bit of a scrum at center ice, then O'Flaherty going after Hache for a hit on Miedema. That's what I like to see.
- Speaking of which - Hache is a D-man I wouldn't mind inquiring about. A big, physical 03 would look really nice on the blueline.

Costanzo is clearly the back up heading into this weekends games. Costanzo should be given the opportunity to try and take the job at this point. Not sure why some always seem to say the situation is always a 1A/1B thing when games played slow that is not the case.

I'm not following the last part. Their play has dictated my comment about 1A/1B; you can put either one in goal and the team has a chance to win. While Onuska is the "A", it's not a clear starter/backup to me... at least right now.

I agree re Onuska and Costanzo, and Costanzo should definitely get more starts more often,he is now 4-0 in his 5 appearances,.292 average and save percentage of .912
Nice bounce back after yesterday's loss at Missy.
15 games in only 2 losses in regulation pretty impressive.
Game winner by Christopoulis was his 4th of the season, which btw is 3 more then anyone else,6 players have 1 game winner each.
Last year in 47 games Christopoulis had 2GW and in 25 playoff games he had 1GW,look what he has done 15 games this year huge contributor.
Interesting Maggio who has 21 points and Abraham who has 20,and neither 1 has a game winner quirky stat.
Best game of the season for Thomas Hebek as he notched his 1st career goal ,added an assist, his 1st 2 points of the season.
Solid game from Meidema who had 3 points and now has 13 in his 15 games played this year.
Like the way this team bounces back after a loss.
Finally after 15 games team is averaging 5.00 goals per game impressive team depth imo.
