Yes, they have all played together, and both have spent most of their minutes with an elite player, so these attempts to act like Nylander has been so disadvantaged are pretty silly.
But who have played with the most elite players. 1Matthews 2.Marner 3.Tavares 4. Nylander.

And Tavares and Nylanders style dont gel at all long stretches. Wich some blame Nylander for and some Tavares. I blame both. Same with Matthews Nylander.

I would have like
to see Nylanders stats if he had played with Marner as much as Matthews has. How many games has Marner/Matthews played with Holmberg or any of the other fourth liners vs Nylander?

Not everybody can play with Matthews or Marner. But they who dont automatic have a disadvantage.

With this is aint saying Nylander is better then Marner overall , but he is better then he seems.

I mean, honestly, Nylander's style doesn't really gel with anybody. He doesn't work great with either Tavares or Mathews. Because Nylander's style isn't really all that much about utilizing teammates in the same way. That's not necessarily a bad thing inherently, but it makes this kind of discussion murky.

Sometimes, the best thing you can do for Nylander is give him a defensively responsible center, a winger with speed, and an easier matchup, and let him cheat a bit and do his cardio.

Marner and Nylander have shown some flashes together before, but aside from the whole playing the same position thing that makes putting them together difficult, the issue with those two together is that they both thrive on carrying the puck.

Over the referenced 3 years, Nylander played with Holmberg for about 30 minutes more than Matthews and 50 minutes more than Marner. That's like 2-3 games over 3 years...

Holmberg is just a 3rd 4rth line player exemple. He gets a lot of them . Nylander absoluty gel better with fast skilled give and go players. And great playmakers, like Backstrom and the likes. Would not hurt with Ds that can make breakaway passes.

Nylander could play on the left. Another positive would be that the Nylander vs Marner talk would probably cool down a bit.

Fourth Swede (Sundin, Z, Naslund ) to reach 30 goals four seasons in a row.

NHL headline
"Marner gets 2 points, Maple Leafs hold off Oilers to end 3-game skid
Matthews has 2 assists, Woll makes 45 saves for Toronto"

45 saves is fantastic by the way.

I'm guessing here but I believe Matthews 188 goals has generated quite a few more assists than Tavares 87 goals. I could be proven wrong, if he had 100 unassisted goals in that count?

I believe this is a math question, that requires no real debate.

More? No. Primary assists help as much as goals though.
Not all goals are assisted. Primary assists can help as much as goals. Sometimes less sometimes more, sometimes not at all.

You can get a primary assist and not even be on the ice when the puck cross the goal line.

One of my fav players P Forsberg was a playmaker, but i would rate him higher if he scored more goals.

Most goals are assisted, and the unassisted ones obviously aren't the ones Marner/Nylander assisted on. Primary assists can be more or less valuable on any given goal, but every point type analysis concludes that, on average, they contribute to the goal as much as the last person to touch the puck.

Technically, you can also get a goal without being on the ice. Whether or not you're on the ice after your contribution doesn't change your contribution.

Assists are only worth half as much per goal because there are 2 of them for most goals……..the math doesn’t lie
