Makar hasn't done it, Josi hasn't done it, Hughes won't do it.

Hughes had the best season of his career and was still 8 points shy.

It requires too many things to go right. The Canucks had basically the dream first half last season which I don't expect to happen again.

Can Hughes be #1 in defenceman scoring? Now that's a bet I'd be much more willing to take, even though it will be very hard to beat Makar two seasons in a row.

I say no - he finishes around 85 or so.

I think he'll have another great season, but slightly less so then last year.

I voted not close but I do think he gets somewhere in the 80s which I guess some other people might consider close

that is way too high of a bar, he is an amazing player but 100pts just seems unrealistic, its like asking if Matthews will score 82 lol

Too injury prone and small to hit 150 points. I see 130 points this season but that's a career high.

He's just not a 140 point player unless scoring keeps going up.
Are you confusing him w/ Jack Hughes? Cuz Quinn has played a full season for pretty much his entire career and has played the 4th most minutes out of any defencemen the past 3 seasons. Man is made of iron

Some of this will depend on 'second half Hronek'. He's started hot 2 years in a row and faded in second half. If he can be more consistent in the Winter months than I could see hughes cracking 100.

FTR... I think Makar wins the Norris this year. And I'm really curious what kind of year Seider has as I always consider him in this tier of player with Hughes and Makar.

That would mean he needs 1 more point in each 10 game span to beat the 92 he got last year? That is 1 extra pp assist from DeBrusk alone. 100 points will be easy for him.
I'm quite confident he won't sustain a 14% on ice shooting percentage. That will likely drop by 15-30%.

I still don't see a 140 point player there. No offense intended. It's just my opinion and we can agree to disagree.
