Personally I think we are all forgetting one arm in our rotation. An arm that has been the most consistent all year and really throws some nasty off speed junk that would do just as well if not better sandwiched between Price and Stroman. That's Estrada.

I would do Price game one, Estrada game two, Stroman game three, Dickey game four and Price in game five if need be.

That's my rotation.
Id have estrada 3rd after price and dickey

yup. less pressure and you could swap him in 3rd if need be.

this year dickey has been out 2nd best pitcher. stroman has 4 gms so far... ballsy to expect so much so soon

I don't know if you've watched Stroman pitch but this guy lives off of pressure. He made his first start after ACL surgery earlier this year at Yankee stadium, in the rain, in the middle of a pennant race. If that's not pressure I don't know what is. It's not ballsy when you've looked at his body of work this year in 4 games and the games he started last year. It's not like he's shown any wavering in his starts.

the pressure will be there in gm 3 and 4 as well.

if dickey wasn't playing well, i'd agree but he is and has playoff experience.

Gallardo is officially confirmed to be the game 1 starter, Hamels in game 2. Time to eat Gallardo's lunch.

Rangers manager Jeff Banister announces Yovani Gallardo will start Game 1 at Blue Jays on Thursday.

Pound the living crap out of Gallardo, no mercy.

He is tall but don't let his cleats full you. Tulo is 6 ft 3 but he's wearing runners. Price I believe is 6 ft or 6 ft 1 but with cleats he's towering over everyone in that photo

It says on google Price is 6'6". So yeah, he would tower over everyone :)

In fact Gallardo has only completed six innings once since the start of August. #BlueJays

probably why hamel is going 2. expecting a loss to price? hoping to split?

yeah I think they're hoping to split here for sure, if not they would've gone full out star vs. star but I think they're looking for a shock with Gallardo and then go for the jugular with Hamels in game 2. This is why winning game 1 is so important if we lose game 1, there's probably a good chance this series is short.

Where's the rational behind this?
