Yeah I'd go with Dickey in game 2. Dome will obviously be closed, it's a controlled environment. The way he's been pitching I believe that's the best situation for him. If we go out and win both, then Stroshow can finish it off in Texas.

I honestly don't care how the rotation is set, we just need to win game 1 that's my main focus right now, after that I'll take my chances with whoever we have. I really really really hope we can pound the crap out of Gallardo, I am sick of him owning us. His stuff isn't even that good. Also it's interesting that Gallardo is likely starting game 1 and then we get 3 straight lefties. By the way would you guys start Smoak in game 1? Have his lefty bat and D at 1st base. Then go with Cola/Edwin the rest of the way?

It's Major League baseball's decision if the Dome is open or closed. They very well may choose to have it open with no rain and 59 degree weather.

IMO, if we lose game 1, I would want Stro out there for game 2, but if we win, RA should be there. I would rather have RA hurl at home than on the road. Stro's stuff is immune to anywhere he plays.

Stroman home: 99.2 IP, 2.35 ERA, 0.94 WHIP, 8.1 K/9, 1.5 BB/9, 0.4 HR/9
Stroman road: 58 IP, 4.97 ERA, 1.47 WHIP, 7.4 K/9, 2.6 BB/9, 0.8 HR/9

Not saying that Dickey doesn't have splits, but feel like a lot of people don't realize Stroman has them too.

Assume the Jays will keep the straight platoon with Smoak/Colabello

It goes without saying, but Game 1 is massively important considering the distinct pitching advantage we will have. Going into Game 2 with Hamels on the mound is a bit iffyish

I actually feel much more comfortable facing Hamels than Gallardo. I don't think they'll hit Gallardo at all, and will need to count on getting the pitch count up and getting to the bullpen.

It's worth noting Gallardo has done very well against us this year, albeit in only 2 games. We haven't scored on him in 13.2 IP.

Yeah, I'm sure most of us are fully-aware of this, but what we don't understand is how he's actually doing it.

We should be feasting on this guy, and yet he owns our bats.

Price went 6 innings with 5 hits, 2 ER, 1 BB, 8 SO, and 1 HR (2 Run homer to Beltre in the 1st inning) in his last start against Texas. Jays won 12-4 in Arlington

Speak for yourself. Heavy 2seam and cutter usage, rarely in the strike zone. Good usage and value on the slider. Would rather walk them than challenge them in the strike zone. Which is exactly how I'd pitch the lineup as well.

Changed my mind. Going with Price until game 1.

I hate you Nem. Too many avatars to choose from.

Personally I think we are all forgetting one arm in our rotation. An arm that has been the most consistent all year and really throws some nasty off speed junk that would do just as well if not better sandwiched between Price and Stroman. That's Estrada.

I would do Price game one, Estrada game two, Stroman game three, Dickey game four and Price in game five if need be.

That's my rotation.
