Fox broadcast said Game 1 is either 3pm or 8pm.

They typically announce it the evening before the Wild Card game.

Given the possibility that New York moves on, I think they'll probably give KC/NYY the primetime evening slot and the TOR/TEX will get the 3pm slot.

I really hope. I'm on the East coast so game would be 9 my time and I work at 6AM Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

During the game today Buck Martinez said ESPN was showing the Jays/Rangers series, because he mentioned how they are coming into Toronto this Wednesday.

ESPN radio is broadcasting the series (as they do for all series), but it will be on FOX Sports 1.

Game 1 is likely to be at 4 PM

Assuming the Yankees win the Wild Card game, between them and Kansas City which team do you want to see win or in the case lose?

Even though the Yankees played the Blue Jays 19 times and Toronto did win 13 of those games, will that give the Blue Jays an advantage in the ALCS should they make it that far.

With the Royals after what happened during their last series with them throwing multiple times at Donaldson, the comments from Ned Yost and Yordano Ventura, plus their fans thinking they can do no wrong when they fluked their way to making the World Series last year, I like to see them get eliminated as soon as possible.

Price is going to pitch on short rest even if the Jays go up 2-0, IMO.

You think so? So would we do a 3 man rotation then?

Honestly I haven't overly paid attention to baseball playoffs before because, well, I didn't want to or have a need to lol.

I could see them sending Price out on 3 days rest (game 1 and 4) and Stroman on his normal rest in game 2 and 5 due to the extra off-day between games 2 and 5.

Maybe Estrada doesn't go in the ALDS, though you could make a case for using him over Dickey if you were going to use a 3-man rotation in the ALDS.

They might be cautious of sending Stroman out on short rest though.

KC. I think Jays would be more pumped up and though we dominated the Yankees they do know us a lot more.

I'd rather see a KC/Toronto series to be honest, even without home field advantage. I think Toronto has the advantage against them, plus the Yankees always play the Jays tough. We see them too much throughout the year, and I don't like the idea of Estrada or Dickey pitching in that ****** ass stadium with that stupid short porch against a bunch of lefties, and there's a good chance at least one will have to pitch there, if not both.

Crazy good. I worry about our Pen though.

So game 1 is Hamels vs Price I assume? Then Gallardo. If we win game 1, I think we roll with Dickey. If we lose Stroman. Gallardo vs Dickey could go either way, Gallardo is very inconsistent but then it allows Lewis vs Stroman game 3 which easily favours us.

I'm assuming that's their 1-3 starters.

They're gonna use 4 starters:

Gallardo, Hamels, Holland, Lewis

My only concern is the ball flies in the hot weather in Texas and Estrada gives up a lot of fly balls. And they have some power LH bats.

Estrada has been defying the odds all year, but when does the luck run out?

Kudos for the avatar, Nem. :yo:

and thanks for using the one I have

What can I say, it's a sweet avatar.

Think I spotted a third user with the same one as well.

If someone wants to stand out, there are a couple of nice ones I haven't seen in use yet.

Dickey #2, Goins #2 (from his walk-off HR. I see that shot a lot now in one of the playoff ads), Sanchez #1, or any of the alternates in the last post (like Donaldson's slide, or any of the highlight-reel Pillar grabs)

Not trying to be biased but I personally think baseball playoffs are the most entertaining...

When the Raps played, I was meh. Same with the Winnipeg Jets. In addition to that, 22 years! 22! This dome will be lit. You won't be able to hear yourself.

Even when I liked hockey more than baseball, I always thought that baseball playoffs were better.

Was gonna go to game 1 but it sounds like it's gonna be an afternoon game which seems silly to me. Really wanted to make it to the first playoff game in 2 decades. Game 2 will have to do.

Yeah, I really do. Price is going into game one with 11 days rest, and if he pitches on three days rest it will be in game four. There are two possible scenarios, the Jays are down 2-1 in which case you definitely start Price otherwise there may not be a game five or the Jays are up 2-1 and likely still start Price to avoid a one game showdown.

Well that's good. The Sportsnet App has every other games times and it says noon for the Jays. I can't see it actually being then. But it scared me haha.
Ya boss I got sick weirdly right as the Jays play the first playoff game since 93 haha
Can't see that holding up.

I think Kuechel dominates the yanks on 3 days rest. That's why I regret the jays resting 2 games in a row, the blown save and starting mark buehrle. The Royals will easily beat the Astros and be well rested. Astros have no hitting and kuechel will be available once. Home field jays are 20 over 500, road jays are at 500. Huge difference. That said, happy they made it this far and hope they can keep up the hitting and do the right thing and go price then Stroman to give them the best chance.

Keuchel might dominate the Yanks but the Astros still have to score against Tanaka.
