Cuylle 1 goal tonight

Congratulations to Urho. I say resign him. He has played better than expected

Not sure why I see people call Vaak a 7th D plug. We've had plenty of actual plugs in his spot the last few years (Nemeth/Harpur/Braun), he's better than all of them. Pro scouting did a good job with him, Borgen and Kaliyev.

Interesting that Drury target a few guys in their mid-20s who havent found their footing. Early returns have been good and they are all under team control next season.

Lavi is a peak clown.

How does Vesey go from being scratched for 1000000 games in a row to being on a line with Miller and Panarin?

I understand the limitations in Kaliyevs game but he should not be getting scratched in favor of Brodzinski.

Wolfshit being untouchable doesn’t need to be spoken about again. Also shame on the local media for being deathly afraid to so much as even think about how bad he’s been. It baffles me how some guys just get a pass for no reason.

Just going to say it - MIka has been our best forward, if not our best player, for a good 2 or 3 weeks now.

In 2025.

A ton of people (not everyone) didn’t want to listen when some of us were pointing this out 2 weeks ago bc “durrr points!” But anyone could have told you this was coming as long as he kept doing what he was doing if they were being honest about what was happening on the ice instead of letting their bias guide their opinions.

The player's clearly run the ship with this team. 3 straight coaches make these asinine lineup decisions. I get they are all the same variant, but Rangers coaches cater to the whiners at a high clip.

I really think Drury needs to fortify the team and take away the guys who are the source of the bad lineup decisions. There are obvious guys to move like Vesey and Lindgren, and talented players like Berard, Othmann and Brannstrom who are a call-up away. They have to make improvements in the areas we can all obviously see every night. The team has been very solid in 2025 outside of 2-3 clear spots

Olivier rocking a 14.7 S% makes him look a lot more productive than you can likely expect. his possession quality numbers appear pedestrian

However: he is taking more shots, playing more minutes, and brings a physical element. I wouldn't mind him next to Carrick and Edström, with Rempe rotating.

If as you say Vesey Kreider and Smith all leave vacancies, there will be a need for at least 1 veteran or young veteran F. I think it's likely it's a player with C flexibility and a little more 2 way game than Olivier has shown. He's kind of just a bruiser. He's not Nick Paul.

Panarin Miller Kaliyev
Cuylle Trocheck Lafreniere
Othmann Zibanejad Berard
Edstrom Carrick Olivier
Rempe

When my sister and I were children, our family called our asses.......COOLIES. Dad would say; "If you don't clean yopur room now, I'm gonna beat your COOLEY. That's how I always thought it should be spelled, never did I imagine it was Cuylle.

Nice to see them show their comeback ability this past week. Yesterday was inexcusable but they are in the race. I expect and hope some move will be made over the break,
A race amongst turtles. Penguin ganme absolutely was inexcusable for a team with aspirations. Actually the Pens seemed to have more than our Rangers. Just look how much influence an ACTUAL Captain could have on a bunch of younger players.

This next matchup with the Pens (but not overlooking the Sabres) is going to tell EVERYTHING about where this team is headed. IF they don't kick (one of my favorite teams to despise) their asses and make good for that 3-2 loss at home, well, I just wouldn't know what to say.

Will Cuylle said he wasn't gonna go down like Kakko and Chytil.

Will Cuylle 20 goal scorer got a nice flow to it

With 2 tonight, he has set a new career high
Can easily see hime getting 30 next year, providing he gets the minurtes that he deserves and 2 linemates that know how to play hockey.

Keep thinking about poor Filip. See the article about how happy he is with Vancouver and playing 20 minutes both games? He NEVER got that chance with us. VERY POOR management of a kid that wanted to spread his wings. Happy to get JT, but as long as Filip stays healthy, he might make this trade look very bad in the long run. But our Rangers are very short term minded.

Not gonna lie I don't watch any Predator games and Novak is signed for a decent deal.

I watched a lot of Hartford games last year and Berard is the type of player we need. We need more of his type not less. It would hurt to lose Fil/KaKko/Berard in less than one year.
Players that play with their heart, are not wanted here. Signed......Rangers Mgmt.

ditto......skill

ditto.....hockey sense

He was awesome.....and you know who else was awesome on the ice tonight ????? Olivier ! He was a FORCE for Columbus and being double shifted and gave our D fits. He is also a UFA July 1st . The Rangers should seriously consider inking him .
Olivier is a great character player and is what we are hoping Rempe becomes a version of. I’d love for them to sign him.

They traded Fil for a player that plays with his heart…
With skill…
With hockey sense…
And a superior one at that. I get missing Fil, but he got traded because NYR were trying to get a top shelf player of exactly the kind that you are saying trading him shows we don’t want…

i think cuylle’s a guy who’s gonna float around 45-50 points the next year or two then take a big step forward and pot like 35-35. He’s still figuring things out but you can see massive potential. His upside is a lot higher than I thought it’d be. He needs to put it all together, though.

Because they’re obsessed with pigeonholing players into completely arbitrary roles they’ve made up, it happens with Brodzinski too. Somehow he’s bad enough to never play 4th line over Rempe or Carrick but then magically can slot in as 3C when that spot opens up.

I think Vaak would be a good partner with Fox. He’s the opposite of Lindgren. Yeah they’re both uneventful but Vaak does everything well while Lindgren doesn’t do anything well.

IMO he’s our best defensive defenseman. From positioning to stick work/checking. he’s just solid

Everything falls into place as long as we replace Lindgren with someone competent

Olivier is the next Goodrow or Jeannot contract waiting to happen. He’s near doubling his career shooting percentage in a contract year, is big and hits. He’s a GMs wet dream mistake contract and will have way more suitors and way more term and AAV than he is worth because of it. I like him fine enough, and watched him plenty in Nashville, but that’s a contract I want the Rangers to stay well the hell away from.

17 points last 18 games if I counted right.

I really liked that Mika has been looking like Mika again. Not sure what the hell was going on with him but he's turned the corner, looks super engaged and, most importantly, is smiling again.

Ryan Lindgren is a train wreck. Trade him for whatever some team will overpay for him and free Zac.

He cut his hair! But all jokes aside I don't know what was going on inside his mind but he looked like a sad puppy with that atrocity. I had a cancer scare a few years ago and my wife (at the time girlfriend) got on me to get a haircut and shave and it really helped my mindset.

Trouba trade is one of the best trades we've had in recent memory. Maybe the best of Drury's career. It's like a very poor man's McDonagh trade. Got rid of an anchor of a contract and got some positive value in return.
