Precisely. This is a smart move by Zito (lets be real here: Q didn't put Huby on the PK when Tallon was at the helm) because that'll show that he's like a fish out of water when he's on the PK unit. To exaggerate a little, which ofc I never do... This is kinda like expanding Yandle's job description by adding PK-stuff there as well.

This works in favor of Zito in the contract negotiations since both parties have to come to a mutual understanding or they part ways. Huby cannot state that he needs another mil or two on top of his initial ask due to him being on the PK too when a bottom6er, like Lomberg is a better PKer than him.

Huberdeau is scoring leader of the league at the moment, not sure if 8 mil will be enough. He has been now four years constantly over PPG and should get most of the team based on that alone.
