Why Jumbo?

Jumbos beard is made out of blue steel kryptonite. It’s presence makes hair grow (please ladies do not look at Jumbos beard).

Chuck Norris once challenged Jumbos beard to a fight, and Chick Norris as he has since been known has not been seen since.

give him 4 minutes whatever, but keep him on the bench
 
Team game man, we got some players we can drop in that are probably going to bring a little more individual skill, but ain’t none of them gonna mean more to the team game then Jumbo. It ain’t all X’s and O’s.

I just started listening to sport radio again since playoffs started. It was interesting the consistent scorn today, not of the man, but universal sentiment that’s he’s literally bringing nothing to the table. The fact a red hot Nylander can’t supplant Jumbo on the first PP, despite said PP doing nothing, seemed particularly topical.

The PP needs another shooter, Jumbo isn’t that and we already have distributors. Willie needs to move up and Jumbo down. Loading up the first unit allows Keefe to leave them out more too, Sandin out as well,so Reilly is firm PP1. The second unit literally just needs scraps, ride the top guns and turf Jumbo.

So, if you do that, there is literally nothing left on ice to argue about, to my mind officially useless. Then factor in one shift last night with three turnovers and you’re literally dodging bullets he hasn’t become a serious liability already, that won’t fly against better competition.

He’s great in the room , just leave him there and frankly he should realize that’s best for the team at this point.

Keefe started him after a goal against last night. That used to be a fireable offence here at Club HF.

Probably guaranteed in his contract or something. He should have retired a couple of years ago. At least he's a big body and the Leafs could use a few players throwing their weight around. It is embarrassing watching them get hit constantly and not turn it back on the Habs of all teams.

People are noticing this big body get destroyed on the boards for loose pucks right? At this stage his size is just a theory.

If it's guaranteed in his contract or something then that's some bullshit. Why would you guarantee anything to a 4th liner? I don't care what he was before, it doesn't matter.

Fourth line tonight with Spezza and Engvall, if he’s actually out for first PP again I’ll shake my head. Suspect Keefe throws Willie in there, but given that should have happened games ago, who knows.
 
Trying to put bias and personalities aside, which do you think is the poorer coaching decision.

The reliance on Marleau in Game 7 of the Boston series or continuing to put Thornton in the line up in this series?
