Serviceable guy who has decent results on a great contract in tough minutes?
Guy was an absolute rock when we ran into those injuries the first half.
He's getting older and less consistant but there's a real cult of hating on him for sure. With the D bolstered lately, he'll be counted on less but he's been a plus to this team overall during his time here.

Exactly. We know when he's paired with a better partner he can help fill in usage during tougher minutes.
Some guys that folks want to play ahead of Holl have in sort only looked better because they often get way easier minutes.
He's already going to start being used less. Imo he's fine coming in and out of the lineup moving forward this season

He's here to win to block shots, cut shooting angles and play the body at times
Sometimes he forgets he's a 2nd round pick that took like 9 years to make the NHL for a reason. Thinks he's way to skilled and tries to skate the puck and make transition plays which burns him, his partner or the team
He's a avg #5D who we've had to rely on more due to Muzzins decline and then injury
Gustafson and him to me are the same value but polar opposite players when both are on
Both can be great 5D who can play some time on a 2nd pairing with a better partner and good defensive/offensive support players.
We move on from both anything by summer

Honestly, he’s fine as a #6 dman. Unfortunately Keefe is a moron and thinks he is top pairing material
Didn't see all of the last game, but saw Holl show some heart at least when most of the team didn't look like they cared.
