Why is Auston Matthews considered a top 10 player?

No one considers him top 10 other than leafs fans which unfortunately makes up a large portion here.

I just think it's hilarious that not only was this thread started by an Oilers fan....but the most obsessive fanbase about Matthews are Oilers fans. It's ok that McDavid isn't living up to that big contract. He's just not as good.

Matthews has scored more even strength goals after this point in his career than Ovechkin, Crosby, Stamkos, Laine, McDavid, Kucherov, Tavares, Seguin, etc. How is that not a generational goal scorer?

So can people stop saying that it's the Leafs FANS who overrate and start shit when in reality its the Media? Because that would solve a ton of the salty pissing wars started by non-Leafs fans on this site.
