Why are the Devils 21-4-1? insane easy schedule, makes perfect sense.

good win guys, im happy we came out with a point. Devils are better then I was expecting. I thought for sure u guys would be much improved but didnt expect this. kinda nice to see and really good for me in fantasy having Hughes, Bratt, Hischier and Shrangovich
I wonder how long they can keep this streak going. whats the longest record

Skated Toronto into the ground. I wanna see them do it against a team that can win a playoff series though.
😥 there was a time when we won one lol I was a teenager

Devils history is 13 wins streak, NHL is 17.

Fun game! Two great teams giving it their all.

damn seems like they are bound to lose one soon but if they keep playing like that it wont be easy for the other team to do.
kinda jealous already looking good and Luke Hughes and Simon Nemec haven't even started their NHL careers yet.
not sure if the current goaltending is a long term solution but NJ future is looking scary

I dont watch them so not even sure why i am commenting but
--I do like Hischier
--didnt think Hughes would be this good
--kind of wonder/hope if teams slept on them and if that will change
--Gary demands parity

I don't know why you didn't think Hughes would be this good. He was insane last year. Teams might have been sleeping at first but that can't have been true for weeks at this point and it hasn't mattered. We've had literally one single game under a 50% 5v5 xGF this year

People underestimated how good we were last year because we got negative goaltending and had a ton of issues with injuries. This year we've got Vanecek who is doing much better than league average, and we haven't had serious injury issues (Palat notwithstanding, none of our stars have gone down).

No but I also don't see how that matters at this point. They might have been sleeping but after we got to like 5 streak and were 8-3 I doubt anyone was still sleeping. This definitely should've been expected of Hughes

Min 100 minutes Zetterlund is 3rd in the league in GF%. 10-1 for a ~91%

Tatar leading the league in xGF%. He's immediately followed by Siegs, Zetterlund, and Boqvist. That's the top 4 in the league. Dougie at 6. Nico 9, Jack 11, Bratt 14, Haula 15, Smith 18, and Sevo 20. That's 11 of the top 20
