Great to see Turcs back playing. Will be a big help to the Reign in the playoffs now that Akil is in the big show and looks like he's not coming back anytime soon. We'll maybe sooner cuz he keeps scoring. Lol.

He made some deft plays last night.

Gonna be interesting to see who Hiller ices for the playoffs.

Blake is going to have to jettison some RFA's in the off season to fit under the cap, or they will be exposed to waivers.

The off season is going to be about moving puzzle pieces around for a financial fit.

It is exciting.

He already said he wants to resign Roy, we will see if it's possible.

The Kings record is so much better with Arvidsson, I wish they could keep him but it looks doubtful.

For how much Grundstrom and Lizotte get paid and their small size, I wouldn't mind losing them, in favor of guys like Turcotte and Akil.

I am over Grundstrom but Lizotte bring intangibles but is always injured later in the year.

Blake will try to offload at the draft and move up on his picks but that hasn't gone too well, the last few years.

Laferriere and Clarke may end up starting next year with the Reign because of their continuing waiver exemption status as guys like Moverare, Spence, Akil and Turcotte could be waiver poaches if they try to send em down.

Byfield, Clarke, Thomas, Laf, and Turcotte should all be in the lineup next year

Lewis, Lizotte, and Grundstrum can be replaced by younger and cheaper options.

Would like to find a way to keep Roy and trade Spence if the package is right.

Arvy does seem like a key cog but we have no money.

Would like to revisit Ullmark even at the sacrifice of Danault who I love. We are not buying out PLD so run Byfield, PLD and Kopi down the middle and pick up a big 4th liner that can shutdown and play PK.

Lizotte and Lewis are a big part of the vaunted Pk is the problem and that would be a gamble slotting the Kids in there.

Salary cap wise nothing is off the table.

Spence you keep , he is cheap and if you don't resign Roy he probably moves up.

Plus he and Englund are decent a lot of the time.

At this point I almost would be willing to consider getting rid of Lizotte if that savings gets Arvidsson resigned.

Danault is a big cog and you can't trade him, without huge risk, no go there.

Want to see Byfield at C and Dubois , left wing with Kopi

This probably should have happened a long time ago.

Dubois - Kopitar - Kempe
Fiala - Byfield - Arvidsson
Moore - Danault - Laferriere
Thomas - Lizotte - Lewis

Anderson - Doughty
Gavrikov - Roy
Englund - Spence

Bednard (G) gets the win and 3 assists. Very rare. In the NHL it has only happened once (Jess Reese in 1993).

Would appreciate any input on how Sam Helenius's season has been going?

To me its more indication that he may not pan out as a NHL player.

He is mostly invisible until he makes a good offensive or defensive play. He mucks it up and sticks up for players.x
Maybe he can keep improving or have a bit of a breakout nest season.

According to the box score he had 1 assist and was wearing #3.

Turcotte with the hattrick whilst Clarke and Thomas had a couple of apples. 🍎

Second career AHL Hattie for turcs. Good to see him scoring. Clarke, Fagemo two points a piece.
Clarke is too good for the A, Turcs just needs to stay healthy and in a new organization, Fagemo just scores not even sure what his future is in the NHL let alone the Kings. Perhaps just needs a chance anywhere.

Quite a statement game, maybe they should call him up.

Pundits are saying the Kings can't score enough.

The King won't trade him.

portillo looks vulnerable when he gets out of the net caught in a prone position , frozen and doesn't know where the puck is.

Eagles banked one of him and tried to do it again.

Not good for playoffs or NHL

The achilles heel for Portillo, he has the size, he's a respectable athlete (especially for a guy his size), great attitude and work ethic, but his feet are terrible and he can't recover once he hits the ice. Teams would always try to bank pucks off him in college (see 2023 Frozen Four), not surprised teams in the AHL are trying it too.

So he’s the second coming of Jamie Storr the beached whale.
