Love that the women are getting recognition for there achievements but when someone like JR has to wait 12 yrs to get in is stupid .
He supposedly forgot about the HOF never figured he would get in.
Even Datsyuk had to wait a long time..

He also, you know, risked his and his families safety to hide in a trunk and defect, and as a result, paved the way for a whole generation of Soviet players to come to the NHL. The whole being incredibly good at hockey thing also adds to it.

Did he though? Despite being the first to defect, there were nine other Soviets in the league legally that season. That also the best talents could subsequently come over legally was due to the collapse of the Soviet Union and not really because Mogilny and Fedorov defected.
