Id have to do a deeper dive. This peice isn't going to be easy to find but the good news is that the habs have alot of assets.

Ideally, the best fit would be a younger version in the mould of ROR. It doesnt have to be a guy that gets them to the playoffs. They have enough of those guys.... but a guy who gets you through them.

I'm still in the camp that Hage will find the most success at the NHL level as a winger. Hischier is the most intriguing name out there for me as he would effectively serve as a Suzuki-lite who could handle tough assignments without cratering offensive production. If the price for Nico would be too steep, I'd also be open to exploring O'Reilly as a cheaper, short-term option. He could seamlessly slot into the lineup and would be an excellent mentor for younger guys, Kapanen in particular.
