And yet you felt the need to enter and post in this thread. Interesting.

I was a fan of McSorley, Tinordi, Belak, and Laraque

Seems to me that only someone with an inflated sense of self worth would go onto a thread about their favourite enforcer just to post that they prefer 'hockey players'. Egads.

Joey Kocur. A beast who could still play regular shift.

I didnt think there would be so many posts about Kocur in here. I'm a wings fan and Probert is a beast but I always liked Kocur. Its like picking which kid is your favourite bu I'm glad Kocur is getting some recognition

Watching videos of his fights, his punches are so powerful and dangerous. I havent seen another hockey fighter that compares.

Definitely the hardest puncher of all time. Thats why I liked him. He would take 3, landone and the fight would be done. Hes actually Wendel Clarkes first cousin and thats why Clarke and Probert always fought, the cousins refused to fight each other.

wasnt the best but a straight up lunatic was John Kordic. Just nuts, Flyers have had many over the years including johns brother dan who could throw.

I liked Wendel, but he was more of a hockey player who fought. Had an insanely strong wrist shot, and could play forward and defense. Too bad his back didn't hold out, or he might've been a HOF'er. He was electric in his first couple of years.

I guess John Ferguson, though I always had a lot of respect for Stan Jonathan.

I always preferred players who weren't enforcers, but would stand up for teammates against just about anyone. Takes a lot of courage. John Madden is an example. I forgot who he squared up against, but it was a legit enforcer, and Madden acquitted himself surprisingly well...he wasn't young at the time, but there was no one else on the Wild available to take care of the "situation". Cam Neely was another very tough fighter, but was a player first.

Sorry if I got off topic.

Ferguson was pretty scary in person, and I've sat with Probert. Only guy scarier than Ferguson that i've seen close up was Chuvalo.

John Scott. Dude was a freak show, not particularly good at fighting, definitely not good at hockey, but I dig his story/personality. Otherwise I’m lookin at, what, Rob Ray, Andrew Peters, Eric Boulton? Nah, gimme the all-star game mvp, the mechanical engineering grad .

Chris Neil ainec.

Had some talent to him too, as opposed to 99% of all other enforcers.

Serious question, was he actually considered an enforcer? I know an “enforcer” like Rob Ray was like 6’0” 205 lb. but he’d fight the other team’s biggest dude- I feel like McGrattan took on Peters, Neil was more likely to fight the Adam Mairs of the world. Like he wasn’t the enforcer himself, he’s why the other team had an enforcer (not that it worked, see: Drury) and he’d fight the middleweight bout. Might be a false memory, hell of a player either way, I just think he was more.. a better Barnaby than he was hired hands.
