Jerseys I own: A lot, but my most precious is Perreault's game jersey from October of 85.

Doug Hoover, a friend of my parents, use to play pick up games with some of the Sabres when I was 11/12 yrs old. When I was 13, I wore a pair of Danny Gare's skates with the Blades. I also have a Bob Sauve game goalie stick he gave to me in late 78 after a game against Montreal.

Team I hate most: Boston, Philadelphia, Toronto

2nd favorite team: There can be only one

My lifetime wish: More than all else, to see Lord Stanley's Cup hoisted by my beloved Sabres, followed by a parade.

Teams I hate the most: Bruins, Rangers, Carolina.

Fondest wish: Hearing RJ call the Sabres winning a cup and the Whalers coming home to Hartford.

I'm a couple years older. My brother is in between your age and mine. We grew up off the Boulevard, had friends / neighbors who played for the Blades, the Tonawanda team that played at the old Twin City rinks / Ice Time (they had some kind of Indian name), and NTHS (and also the Amherst Regals). No organized hockey for us though. He and I both graduated NTHS but have also since moved away. Bottom line - we probably have mutual friends from that era.

I played football for Payne Jr. as a freshman, but gravitated to hockey full time after that. Used to play Ives Pond, Memorial pool but really anywhere we could find ice.

Did some weekend after midnights at Sabreland, usually no pads, no lifting of the puck sort of thing with 30 guys or so. A lot of fun.

hey guys. you can see that i'm an Isles fan, but i have been watching the Sabres, and i think they are going in the right direction.

i winced a bit when they acquired Kane, hoping that he would keep his nose clean, but... :( they really did not give a lot to get him, so i am not too disappointed.

from Niagara Falls, Canada. my son is a big Sabres fan, so i usually catch a game or two with him.

i really like Reinhart, Eichel, RR, O'Reilly, Lehner, Larsson.

anyway, good luck this year.

Thanks for stopping in--great to see the Sabres/Isles fan relations are continuing to mend! A good rivalry is a beautiful thing, but things definitely took a nasty turn around here, and it feels like that's in the past.
