Longtime member/lurker of this site, but expect an increase in contribution from myself going forward. Conversing hockey with strangers over the internet? I can't can't think of a better way to spend my free-time!
Name: Brooks
Age: 32
Location: Lockport, NY
Current Occupation: Currently Unemployed (Explains the excess free-time doesn't it?!)
Sabres Fan Since: The late 80's.
Season Ticket Holder? (Y/N): No, but it would be nice. What can I say...My wallet is stressed for green. The only items of considerable value in my possession are McDonald's coupons.
All Time Favorite Sabres: Pat LaFontaine, Alexander Mogilny, Dominik Hasek
Current Favorite Sabres: Marcus Foligno
Favorite Sabres Moment: Alexander Mogilny's defection, Foligno's famous leap, The Grant Fuhr acquisition, The Primeau bros. duel, Matt Barnaby's shameless self-promotional ad in a Philadelphia newspaper during a play-off series with the Flyers (Boy, did they loathe him in Philly), The 2006 play-off series with Ottawa. I have many, but the obscure ones are sticking out the most right now.
Sabres Jerseys You Own: Home 'sluggalo' Maxim Afinogenov sweater (Gifted by my brother), Home nameless 'goatlord' sweater.
Team You Hate Most: Hate is such a strong word, and usually I refrain from engaging in hateful rhetoric concerning most things in life -- Hockey is an exception. That being said...Toronto can eat a dilznick, Ottawa can too, and Philly is the sphincter of the hockey world.
Personal (Pick 3)
Favorite Musical Artists: The Roots, Pink Floyd, Curtis Mayfield, Al Green, Radiohead, Gil Scott-Heron, Cannibal Ox, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Miles Davis, The Mars Volta, Wu-Tang Clan, Flying Lotus, Common, Blackstar, Pearl Jam, Reks etc. Those acts are the first ones to come to mind. I could carry on forever, as I have a very diverse and eclectic mix of favorites to pull from.
Favorite Movies: Boyz In The Hood, Eternal Sunshine of The Spotless Mind, Mulholland Dr., Old Boy, Apocalypse Now, Clockwork Orange, There Will Be Blood, Downfall, District 9, Amelie, City of God, Memento etc. Yup, a certified weirdo. Lord knows I have seen way too many films.
