It's literally 5 posts up. Am I missing a joke?
Where?

All i see is Ziggy's typical righteous indignation of misquoting a single line of a post that said the exact opposite thing he was thinking it said. Then somebody else getting all hot and bothered piggy backing that post.

Is that where we are now, making things up for gotcha internet bullcrap?

Reading is hard.
Go ahead, point it out.

The post you quoted stated specifically that Byfield IS NOT one dimensional as though somebody actually said that. And the person that posted that was quoting me in a post that didn't say it either. So what gives?

Maybe that poster is on his ignore list. That would be a hoot.
Could be, if that's the case I apologize - all I see is a guy quoting me using stats to state he isn't one dimensional, which of course he isn't.

And its just a couple of posts before that response, so if there happens to be something all Kubalik-ish inbetween, yeah, I don't see it

The poster I responded to (directly above my post), called Byfield a one-dimensional scorer. Why do you think I would call something like that out, out of the blue? It contradicts what the guy in charge of scouting for the Kings said about Byfield, and I trust that he's watched Byfield a lot closer than some people who just started to get familiarized with him recently.

The consensus on Stutzle is that he is the most NHL ready prospect in this draft. My opinion is that he is also closer to his ceiling than others. I could be wrong, but that's the way I choose to see it. That is also another reason why I see the Kings selecting Byfield. I think he will have more of an impact on NHL ice given his what he brings to the table.

I agree Stutzle is more NHL ready. But I don't see how Stutzle is more accomplished.

But like I said...it's close but I'd rather have the two-way playmaker in Stutzle than the one dimensional scorer in Byfield.

Maybe you two should get on the case and try to find somebody who ever once said that.

It'll be a hoot.

Put the quote without the user just in case you have them on ignore. I snipped out the other paragraphs for easier read.

I have never heard anything about this. I heard the consensus was Lafreniere was the only player they believed would be NHL ready for next year. All I’ve heard is people talking about Stützle remaining in Germany next year.

I heard some of the experts speculating that Rossi may be physically developed enough to make the jump and I heard other experts counter argue that he will have to change his game as he won’t be able to pull the same moves on the NHL size players that he could with the juniors.

Just because Stützle played against mendoesn’t mean that the quality was there. Every highlight I see of Stützle I see how he uses the extra 15 feet of ice to his advantage to slip away from players giving him the him extra time and space to make plays.

During his last interview I listen to he did state he gained weight but not 15 pounds. He stated that he was up to 89 kg which is about 195 pounds, so some gain just not the massive we believed.

I really like Stützle but I think he’s gonna have a hard time adjusting to the NHL if thrown in right away. Between the size of the rinks, the size of the players and the extra strength of the players he will not be able to do what he’s used to doing and I can see him getting knocked off the puck more than he is used too.
my other dislike about Stützle is really his shot. It does not look dangerous at all and that’s against German goaltending.

I don’t care if the kings pick him at two as that right in the area he is speculated to go but I do not anticipate him being a permanent fixture on the team and Actually doing well next year.

I just went out and read the write ups on this guy from various sources (not going to quote them. Do a search for yourself in him) a common theme regarding him is "finished prospect" and "NHL ready". I'm sure Lafreniere is the most likely to start out of the box, that's why he's going #1. With this, I'd still take By field @#2.

We must be reading different articles then. I was super high on Stutzle about a month ago and now some of the luster has worn off.

I mentioned above some of my worries with him. I actually believe Byfield is the better player of the two and believe that within 3 years he will be a beast in the league with his size, skating and skill. As much as I would love that at center I believe Byfield works off the wing as well. He has the skating and size to take the puck to the net like a bull plus he has the size and hands to park himself in front of the net and tip shots or poke in rebounds.

The big difference I have seen is there is lots of video on Byfield playing in the dirty areas and there is lots of videos of Stutzle using the space and perimeter to his advantage.

what I want to see out of Stutzle is if the smaller rinks affect him. If he had a shot like Holtz I wouldn’t be as worried but he doesn’t. I see a lot of skating away from traffic and a lot of nice passing but I don’t see the scoring ability I would associate to a 2nd overall pick.

I also don’t see Stutzle anywhere close to NHL ready. I see him WHC ready on the bigger ice surfaces but he too is going to have to hone his game to fit the smaller surfaces, bigger stronger and faster NHL players and somehow improve that shot to beat NHL caliber goalies.

I still like the players but if thrown into the NHL I would expect way less than what Hughes brought the Devils this year.

blah blah blah blah

you should slap yourself for this post

and film it so we can all see

I'm hopeful the next OHL (& NHL) seasons go on as planned. But 12/1 is a long time away in the CV19 timeline...who knows what things look like in 3-4 months. Hopefully recovery and a return to normalcy.

For the hell of it I want to see the zoomy boi line of Kempe-Kupari-Wagner

That would be fun. Two hotheads and Kupari in a line that’s built for speed. But sadly a line that’s gonna get a lot of penalty minutes as well. They’d give our coach an aneurysm with they’re temperamental chippy play. I love them but seriously... we’d need to call them the Bad News Bears line.

While I believe that we will pick QB at 2OA for many reasons I also believe that time will prove that TS was the better selection. I not only saw QB play live a few times over the past 3 years (I mean I handful of times so take it for what it is worth) but have watched adv prep of him from this past season (probably 4 hours of dedicated coverage) and he is a very soft player. He is an exceptionally talented kid when it comes to offense but that is about it. I like him a bunch but not in the top 3. I know lots of reputable people see him differently but I have to go with what I see. Hype is a weird thing in the hockey world and QB has been overhyped like very very few people have in the past ten years. Is it deserved? Well time will tell but until he gets allot more grit to his game there will be problems. Now I am not saying he needs to throw hands or lay people out, I am saying that he needs to go into the corners like his position dictates and use his size to his advantage in more ways than one. As of now he uses it to poke the puck free when playing defensively but rarely if ever takes the body which gives lesser talented and smaller players than him a huge advantage. People compare him to Kopi but I don't see it at all.

I see him more as a Jeff Carter high end type of player. Exceptional at what he does (though a lesser offensively gifted player than JC) but nowhere near the style of player that Kopi is. So is he a solid young talented player? Yes, I believe we will take him at #2. But I don't see him on the same level as many others do. That is what I see. Think KDach without the grit but better vision and you have QB. Not a bad thing to have but not the next Kopitar either. That said who knows what will come with time and experience and certainly there is room to grow without question but this is a pick that must be absolutely perfect and without Futa I am gonna have to hold my breathe until I see the proof that QB is all that we think he can be. Bit of a risk as I have said but not a bad one to take. I can't wait to see him (QB), Gabe, Turcs, and Maddog as our C's in the near future. We are going to be a scary team. Fing terrifying.

Respectfully, that's nobody's consensus. Everybody knows Lafreniere is the most NHL ready player in this draft.
