But Byfield will be someone you can build a team around. Highlight reels don’t win cups, I want the guy that makes everyone around him better.

My guy they both are great build team around players, but in the making players around you better column I'd go with Stutzle. I feel like that is Stutzle's best trait. I just rewatched that Germany vs Czech WJC game it is wild watching the 19 year olds target a 17 year old to throw him off his game

I have a gut feeling they will take Stuetzle.

Kings already have two big guys at center with Kopitar, Vilardi along with Kupari, Turcotte, Thomas, and Madden. They have no wing scoring except Kayilev.

Kings already have two big guys at center with Kopitar, Vilardi along with Kupari, Turcotte, Thomas, and Madden. They have no wing scoring except Kayilev.

Fagemo could very likely be better than Kaliyev, and Kupari projects to be a winger if he breaks into the league. Madden projects to be a winger as well.

Oh it'll be more than half the board. But 10 minutes later, it'll be all aboard the Stutzle hype train for most of us. I have a lot of confidence in Yannetti and company to make the best selection. Of course, this could be the pick which gets him fired . So no pressure!

You may be right, and that would be fine, but it would also fly in the face of everything they've been preaching since getting the #2 pick. They aren't going to pick a certain player because they have a 32 year old center that is really good for the moment, and a young guy who has played 10 NHL games.

If they pick Stützle, it's likely that they view him as a center.

Raymond was as close to #1 overall as anyone not too long ago. Imagine if he had played for a lesser SHL team or played in NA Juniors?
