This is so dumb, I don't know why it had me laughing the way it did. I will always remember that call, though.

And this is why nobody likes you, respects you, or listens to your silly podcasts. You’re not even a has been. You’re a never was.
Father Time will eventually claim all of us. It was a privilege listening to John Amirante, a homegrown New Yorker sing our beloved national anthem for over 3 decades. Even towards the end of his years, voice crackling and all. And not just for the Rangers. But also for the Mets and Yankees. If he were still alive and willing, I’d rather listen to him sing our anthem despite his flaws. Beautiful voice. Beautiful person. And the epitome of a real New Yorker.
Rosen’s best years are behind him. This dudes very old. He was born shortly after WW2. He wasn’t born in NY but he’s 100% a New Yorker.
I became a fan in 88-89 as a nine year old. Sam Rosen is the voice of Rangers hockey. I don’t care how many names he gets mixed up, or how often he gets plays confused. I’ve met Sam on numerous occasions and he’s an absolute class act and a joy to talk hockey with.
It’s going to be a very sad day for a lot of us when he can no longer call games. Embrace these last few years of him. Take it all in and appreciate one of the very best in the business towards the end of a hall of fame career, you potato.
I thought Bob Wischusen was pretty good the other night.
LMAO good God man, get over it, the dude has a different opinion than most here, who cares? And this is why nobody likes you, respects you, or listens to your silly podcasts. You’re not even a has been. You’re a never was.

Id like to see a former player. Does not need to be a former ranger.
Those choices suck. Kenny Albert's voice is so grating.Mike Richter
Henrik Lundqvist
But seriously I bet it'll be Kenny Albert, John Giannone or Maloney

Why can't we have Bill Pidto? He's got the best voice of the MSG crew.

I say shut the f*** up at least one time per game when Joe talks. I'm pretty sure every color commentator is a homer though.I think it will be Albert but I think Bob Wischusen might be possible too. I really wish the Joe that shows up for national broadcasts was the same in as the one for Rangers ones. He is fantastic when he does national because he does not need to try and be a homer. He breaks down the game well from both sides and explains it in a way that is great for casual fans and doesn't insult diehards. When he does the Rangers, he seems to feel the need to slant it towards the Rangers more, which just doesn't work for him.
He's a good pro but holy hell learn about the royal road my guy.I say shut the f*** up at least one time per game when Joe talks. I'm pretty sure every color commentator is a homer though.
