He certainly has earned himself a “permanent” position on this team and I wouldn’t be surprised to see him move upward soon too. If not soon, then next year. He has skills we all can appreciate.
There will not be much to move him up to. at this point I don't see Montreal having a 4th line. It is 3A and 3B. The next step will be more PK time if anything. But that will not happen until DVO or Armia are gone.

You sir need to enjoy watching him play and winning faceoffs % playing well on the PK and get the most SH goals and scoring 5-6? games in a row...

He's pricing himself out of Montreal at this pace because this is the type of player you get to make a push. Giving a good 3rd/4th liner years and $$$ is exactly how we got in our shitty situation in the first place....The guy has an history of concussions and injuries to boot.

You give him 4 years at 4m? Because that's what his agent is gonna ask because another team will be willing to pay that? What would be your call in our current position?

We played a great weekend of hockey and BODIED Florida/TB back to back 9-2. It wasn't Buffalo, Detroit x2. We looked good doing it, didn't get many PPs either, we outplayed good/great teams!

But more patience is warranted...
How was Tampa good for so long. A ridiculous 3rd and 4th line that buried teams.

We won with a 3/4 Monty.
Sam you gotta close those legs or reach back with your glove when there is no whistle.

Fun weekend
Suzuki decks Ducherov. :D
Kirby Dach can start and stop again and is now faster than Patrik Laine.
A new Newhook.
Anderson and Heineman are Power Rangers.
Matheson got a new brain for Christmas.
We just need our top line to start scoring again that and Slaf to become a tad less clumsy.
Damn my life is good.

Didn't know where else to put this thought.

Last year with pretty much the same lineup teams would still try and take liberties with the Habs, especially when Xhekaj was down in the A.

This year, teams that would have tried some of that shit now don't even bother.

I think with Xhekaj being here full-time and Anderson beating the brakes off of Wilson and Trouba teams are seeing he's more than willing to Chuck knuckles again and they don't want to deal with 2 of likely the top 10 toughest players in the league as teams don't really have 1..

It's also why I thinking signing Olivier at pretty much any cost is needed as he's a very useful player and he might be the toughest.

I swung by the TB forum and was somewhat surprised at civility... most comment are about the team not showing up for the game and actually giving Habs some credit... within reason of course. So nothing like reading the leafs forum, for example.

Based on this pic, we're also in da mix for the 1st OV pick.
Only one non-wildcard team left with a better winning percentage than us (Pens). Phi and Columbus have the same winning percentage as us. We have 9 teams with a worse record to jump over to get to the 1st OV pick. I think a wildcard berth is difficult. A 1st OV pick is now nearly impossible.

I was certainly critical of Anderson last season, very pleased with him this season. It's not just the fact he's getting points, he's engaged physically and is making good plays even when they don't result in goals. He'll never get to the levels we hoped when he signed here, but a physical 3rd liner who can slot higher in the lineup occasionally and who can put up about 15-20 goals is a good piece to have. If only his cap hit was about 1M-2M lower.
