Kirby is finally starting to look dangerous. His skating has vastly improved. We sure as hell need him.

There's also so hope for Newhook now.

Laine I'm not worried.
like i said many times, having gone through and acl tear. it is not as simple as being healthy to play.
You need more time to be back to before injury form. Management said it, just many pundits in mtl are impatient. Luckily management and coach are not

Before the season started I thought that our real strength over other teams was our bottom six, we'd have two bottom lines that can play against anyone in the league. À good mix of skating, vétéran presence, size and more goal scores than your usual bottom six. Now if it continues like that, other teams will have a problem as they wont have a single easy shift against those 4 lines.
My brother, a Leafs fan, is thinking along these lines you stated here. He knows our lines 3 and 4 are playing great and coming on….he said to me, “I just hope our top 2 lines outplay yours.” So even he is aware of this newfound strength we are showing.

Not a guarantee that forecast plays out. Look at Slaf in his 3rd year….is this playing out the way you thought it would?
Not a guarantee, but odds are in my favor I think. Beck is outstanding.

Slaf is in a bit of slump, but he will get out of it. I think the big contract is weighing on him. He will snap out of that soon enough when he realizes that he does not have to carry this team, and that the true stars of this team (Hutson and Demidov) will make a lot more money than him.

I wish he calls me….Id be happy to tell him he doesn’t have to worry about carrying this team….we have plenty of guys sharing that responsibility besides him. But then I would remind him……BUT YOU WERE THE #1 PLAYER SELECTED, SO PLAY LIKE THE #1. 🫵😂

Demidov pushes Newhook down to center the third line, replacing Dvorak. Demidov is better than Newhook, and Newhook is better than Dvorak, so yes, the team will be stronger, after a small adjustment period.
100% agree with this thinking…..next year maybe….

I hope he does not call you!

With proper support from fans, teammates and coaches, he will be more than fine.

Beck is likely going to be a better Evans, in a year or two.

With Devo off the books this summer i’d keep him for the simple fact that you can place him anywhere in the lineup .If we plan on being in the mix the next few years he’s definitely a valuable asset for both the culture and progression of the team. Now if you’re packaging him for something elite this summer that’s a different story but what can you get for him at the deadline that’s going to knock your socks off.

Great news Montreal is 8-3 vs Atlantic Division, so far. Two of those losses were against the Bruins with Primeau in net, too. Last year, we were absolutely terrible against our own Division.
Crazy stat, would not have predicted that.

Obviously Florida/Tampa/Leafs/Bruins are better than us, but Ottawa and Buffalo always play us insanely hard. Detroit is always 50/50.

Florida, what's that? Habs dump it off into the Atlantic!
