@HandshakeLine brought it up in the cap thread (i believe), but I worry about that PP. The shots have to be lethal to get goals. That is tough to do in the playoffs. We need some shitty goals on that PP. That's what I worry about the most. Just getting those junk goals.

I could weirdly see the powerplay hit that bad stretch at the wrong time.

Famous last words. There's a lot of evidence to the contrary the last few years.

Sullivan has done a great job. Sullivan is one of the best coaches in the league. This team is near the top of the division with stretches of 5 of top 6 defensman out and 5 of top 9 forwards out. He should be up for coach of the year for his job this season and he won 2 Cups in his first 2 season's with the Pens. I trust his judgement over anyone on these boards.

If this team ever gets healthy this season I think he could take this team to a Cup. Of course that never is a guarantee like the 93 team proved that. Definitely think this team the closest built team to the 2016 group.

Like I said he is doing the right thing putting Carter as the 3C. This team has a much better chance with Crosby, Malkin, Carter, and, Blueger down the middle. Sullivan obviously knows that and people that think McCann should be the Center, well all just leave it to your imagination. I had a bunch typed out and decided to be nice. It is not like people on these boards have a good track record. All just leave it at that.

Yeah, but on the other hand, the disappearance of PPs in the postseason is a factor as well. In the end, what worries me more than anything about the special teams is that they're just not focused enough. We have to not only make our PP count when we get it, but we also have to be even more careful on the PK because a good team will be laser focused on the man-advantage.
