I rather Carter play Center because that is the place he needs to play come playoffs. By far our best chance of going far is Crosby, Malkin, Carter, and Blueger down the middle. I think that is what will happen and Sullivan knows that is the best thing to do. I think his plan it to put Zucker with Malkin and Kapanen when they get back. Looks like McCann-Carter is his duo.

Famous last words. There's a lot of evidence to the contrary the last few years.

A lot of fans are insisting he'll move right to RW when the team is healthy. They clearly don't follow Sullivan's work very closely. Chances are better that MALKIN would be moved to wing than Carter. And I don't know how sarcastic I'm being.

Carter just seems kinda pointless to me but he's playing well enough so whatever.

I think Carter's a good acquisition for his size, speed, and shot, but putting him at center when McCann was clicking there is baffling.

Yeah I mean I complain about the implications re: Blueger but considering how McCann was trending it makes it all the more bizarre. Oh well. They'll need an extra center when Malkin inevitably shits the bed so...

TBH. That line has been really good despite what some have said.

I get your point, but I think McCann losing center to a player like Carter who does everything McCann sucks at C well is pretty okay.

Probably just means McCann is earmarked for Malkin's LW when he returns, so Sullivan is preparing both Carter and McCann for where they're going to play come playoff time.

But if that is the case then what is his plan for Zucker? If the plan is for Zucker to play 3rd line LW, then why is he currently playing 2nd line RW?

Because he's likely sticking with Carter, so he's keeping him on that line to hopefully develop some chemistry. Plus, maybe Sullivan feels he's better able to play his off wing than McCann, thus why McCann is at LW and he's at RW for that line.
