We have 7 more GDT's to fill for the regular season.

I'll take one in May of the 5 in that month, leaving 6 GDT's to choose from of ---> games 48 NJD/49 BOS/52 WSH/53 Flyers/54 Flyers/55 BUF/56 BUF

Almost there... kids. Playoffs.

I only want to do like 8, maybe 10 in a full regular season and I will have done 14 in a 56 game shorten season.

UM - 14
Clare2904 - 11
dogthateats - 7
Ginger Papa - 5 <---not even a regular
Tom Hanks - 4
Darren McCord - 2 <---Rookie
Randy Butternubs - 2
Gurgleson - 2

Everyone with - 1

I want to say "Thank You!" to everyone stepping up...! Quite a few who don't normally do them...

Just 6 more for the regular season. They are easy... take 5/10 minutes for the basic of GDT's, only asking for 1, but won't turn down more if you want to do more. GDT SIGNUPS

I can no longer start threads on this forum due to my excessive warnings. But maybe one day!

It's just dumb that Sullivan is insisting on Carter moving to C, McCann moving to LW, and Zucker moving to RW.

That's some "Iggy to LW because we can't move Dupuis" level logic. Each of these guys can play their natural position.

A lot of fans are insisting he'll move right to RW when the team is healthy. They clearly don't follow Sullivan's work very closely. Chances are better that MALKIN would be moved to wing than Carter. And I don't know how sarcastic I'm being.

Carter just seems kinda pointless to me but he's playing well enough so whatever.

What I am curious about, is where does Sully play Carter when Geno is back? By the way he is playing him now, it looks like the plan is to put him as Line 3 centre and push Bleuger to line 4. If this is not the plan then playing him centre now is just pointless.

I imagine the thought process is they go McCann - Malkin - Kapanen, Zucker - Carter - Rodrigues, ZAR - Blueger - Tanev / Lafferty or Sceviour till he is healthy.

Oh they are putting Zucker back with Malkin I'm betting. They really, really, really want that to work.

That is likely the case, but I can't say that I really like it.

I would prefer if they would play Carter, McCann and Zucker as the third line (with everyone playing their more comfortable spots) and hoping that someone internally can click with Geno and Kappy. But yeah...not going to happen.

One of the players who is missed is Freddy. He was giving the Pens much needed offense as a 4th center. His moxie and skating was far superior to the guys who have to many issues to play. I think Carter works best as a third line center with a healthy Tanev in the playoffs and maybe Zucker may be a line that jells.
Jake Sid Rust
McCann Geno Kap
Zucker TB Carter
Reese Freddy Lafferty/Angelo/ERod

Gaudreau having a career year is a nice surprise, it's just that his last career year was... 4 points. I'm honestly happy for him, but let's keep in mind, the guy has gone from 4 points in 55 games to... 4 points in 13. TB's on a whole 'nother level.

I am also not too concerned about Carter's production currently.
I'm not either. He's getting the high danger scoring chances you want to see. And at this point I trust McCann to bring it regularly and help him out, the way he has all year with all other linemates.

Blackwood is out...
Not sure that's a good thing. Blackwood is .900 this year.

when is Malkin back?
He's skating hard which is good. I'd expect him back with 3-5 games remaining. On another note Kapanen is getting close too.

Agreed. It would be one thing if these players were isolated situations on separate lines. Not the case though. They could all be swapped and still be a line. The only thing I like is that Carter's getting his Center refresher course while also learning our system from the toughest position. We'll be able to rely on him to do it in the future. Getting the reps in when we're almost a playoff lock is the right time.

Will add though that it's a lazy cop-out by the board to blame Zucker's problems the last few games on just being a RW'er. That has nothing to do with his poor battle level on the walls or forcing passes that aren't there. He just has no confidence and is too concerned about getting Carter the puck, instead of just playing hockey the right way.

I rather Carter play Center because that is the place he needs to play come playoffs. By far our best chance of going far is Crosby, Malkin, Carter, and Blueger down the middle. I think that is what will happen and Sullivan knows that is the best thing to do. I think his plan it to put Zucker with Malkin and Kapanen when they get back. Looks like McCann-Carter is his duo.

This has been Zucker since the jump as a Penguin. Except swap Carter for Crosby/Malkin. The amount of times that he won a race in the offensive zone only to promptly fling the puck to nowhere last year was horrible, but that got drowned out by the "12 in 15" crowd.

Then THAT would be their correct ''thought process'', why? Because it makes a lot of sense and places players in positions to succeed. .
