One could argue the Hawks fit as potential team to do it
3 reasons Hawks make potential sense
1) Cap
They have cap room to add a player at that cost this offseason and also have a ton of expiring contracts coming up
This coming summer (Barring trades before that) the Hawks have some sizeable $ being freed up in addition to open cap already available
Hall ($6M)
Martinez ($4M)
Athanasiou ($3.1M, Buried)
Kurashev ($2.25M)
McCabe ($2M, Retention)
Bailey ($1.166M, Buyout)
After 25-26 season these come of books
Murphy ($4.6M) (If not traded before that)
Foligno ($4.5M)
Dickinson ($4.25M)
Mrazek ($4.25M)
Mikheyev ($4.037.5M)
Brodie ($3.75M)
Brossoit ($3.3M)
Long term wise only guys signed beyond 25-26 season are
Jones ($9.5M) - UFA in 2030
Bertuzzi ($5.5M) - UFA in 2028
Teravainen ($5.4M) - UFA in 2027
Vlasic ($4.6M) - UFA in 2030
With Vlasic extended the only young player of note due a major raise soon will be Bedard after next season (Nazar, Korchinski and Reichel unless they have huge breakouts should be affordable and lower cost)
2) Need
NHL roster as noted as of now early in rebuild is still lacking in overall talent especially high-end talent around Bedard. Changing that situation would be best interest of Hawks thru some notable FA or trades
3) Hawks' depth in system offers potential of rapid improvement in coming years and use of prospects/picks via trade to help fill needs while not harming overall rebuild effort
Right now Hawks system is very healthy from recent drafts prospect wise

Hawks are already reaching point they will have to decide future of several prospects in NHL, AHL, NCAA or Jr's prospects in coming summers. To sign them to contracts as part of future or not while having a bevy of picks coming up to further stock pipeline long-term

Hawks if they decide to be in mix may potentially be among most appealing options for Marner camp even with current situation of being at bottom of league
