Which EASTERN conf team will get the WC2 spot?

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

6 teams battling it out for the FINAL playoff spot in the Eastern conference? Which one TEAM do you think will make it?

TEAM PTS GP

COL 70 65
NYR 70 66
MON 69 65
DET 68 66
BOS 68 67
NYI 66 65

Ottawa 100% is still in the race too. Assuming they have their spot locked is a dangerous thing.
NJ just lost Hughes for the season, they could drop out too. I think the other 5 teams are probably pretty safe.

I homer voted for the Habs.

Nobody is assuming they have the spot locked it. They’re playing their best hockey right now, knowing how big every game is. They are separating themselves from the pack but still plenty of hockey to go

Not 100% they have 5 points with a game extra on the NYR and have 26 RG wins.

That's why I sadly took the NYR over Columbus.

Heart says Jackets, head says NYR.

The Habs have a chance, Detroit, Boston and the NYI don't.

I'm confused, where is the Ottawa option ? Or are we assuming their 5 point lead has them locked at WC1 ?

Vote New York Rangers

Would you have voted for Ottawa or New Jersey if they were an option?

Why did you object to Ottawa not being there, but not new Jersey?

Sure of course they could be, and 5 pts aint huge thats for sure. But gotta draw the line somewhere. Wouldnt be the biggest shock in hockey history if they miss the playoffs, but the way theyre separating themselves, probably not

The Leafs should be an option. Past practice has them regressing towards normalcy in the push for the season finish.

Don't be ridiculous, Ottawa should be in there too.

It may be more unlikely because they have a tiny cushion. Plenty of games left.
