I don't think NYR is a good fit for him.

I hope it works out though.

Imagine having Panarin and Fox feeding him with Kreider in front.

NYR is going to have a lethal PP.

Plus they have plenty of guys who can skate and carry the puck for him while he gets open, rather than having to do all the dirty work because he's playing with 4th liners or PLD f***ing sucks or trying to cover for Fiala.

He's gotta be deployed correctly and that's the catch but he's matched basically exactly his scouting report so far...unfortunately we know how the Kings feel about that.

Look at this guy absolutely sniping from everywhere

and look at how allergic LA is to PP talent, how many of those guys have we purged, jesus christ

If they don't put Lafrenierre on PP1, I doubt they'd put Kaliyev on it.

Rangers are still trying to salvage the season and win now. I don't think they'll be patient with AK.

Good riddance.

Its hilarious that a team whose culture is famously in the garbage can at the moment would take on this headcase.

Kaliyev was a one trick pony who quit on his team.

Rangers are the hot mess express. I don't see that situation getting much better with Kaliyev added.

The most frequent posters here, based on yearly average.

desperate claim by a desperate team.

Kings won't even bat an eye when Rangy's send him down.

Lesson learned about the mental makeup of a player and how it impacts their ability to make it through the low stretches of trying to get established in a top

league.

the amount of people defending the org on this one after everything we've seen since 2017 is actually mind blowing...it actually takes me back to about 2018 when i started getting blasted for questioning the future of this org due to drafting and development decisions. Welp, here we are, and spilled the whole bag! But sure, f***in Kaliyev amirite.

Soon as he scores 2 pp goals with NYR and this board will be up in arms!

Well that would be as many as the Kings have in their last 10 games so

If they figure that out before LA does then yeah, that statement isn't as incredulous as it sounds

To be fair, the Kings have only had 2 pp in the last 10 games, scored once.

Unsure if we'll ever really get the full scoop on Kaliyev. My gut feeling is that more people than not (including players and coaches) just really didn't like playing with the guy. I don't want to blast him here because I don't know what happened in the locker room. Hope he finds success in NY, I always liked watching him shoot the puck.

How many people are actually defending the org though?

Outside of the usual suspects, bland is speaking more about Kaliyev than the org. And Herby brought up there's a time the training wheels have to come off and Kaliyev has to show more (which summarizes my thoughts), most people are pissed.
