Unsure if we'll ever really get the full scoop on Kaliyev. My gut feeling is that more people than not (including players and coaches) just really didn't like playing with the guy. I don't want to blast him here because I don't know what happened in the locker room. Hope he finds success in NY, I always liked watching him shoot the puck.
I appreciate your mature take on the subject....those are hard to find around here.

the amount of people defending the org on this one after everything we've seen since 2017 is actually mind blowing...it actually takes me back to about 2018 when i started getting blasted for questioning the future of this org due to drafting and development decisions. Welp, here we are, and spilled the whole bag! But sure, f***in Kaliyev amirite.

Well that would be as many as the Kings have in their last 10 games so

If they figure that out before LA does then yeah, that statement isn't as incredulous as it sounds
Big facts right here.

Also I wouldn’t be surprised to see some smearing sometime soon in regard to him.

Surprised no one has yet brought up that Kaliyev is from New York and thus he surely steadfastly REFUSED to play another game for the Kings or any team other than his beloved hometown Rangers.
Yes I’m sure that was actually the case. Faber must have called him on the phone and said “hey you know the same way I refused to sign with the Kings? Do the same”

You'd better believe it

can't wait for the retrospective on him being a bad human absolving the organization of their responsibility in interviewing, drafting, and (not) developing him.

I can't believe how many times this f***ing organization goes surprised Pikachu on the consequences of their own decisions. Wow, who knew Fiala was a liability? Who knew PLD was a loaf? Who knew Kovalchuk was an offensive player not a checker? Who knew the enigmatic scorer was an enigmatic scorer?

I can't wait until we trade Greentree and a 1st for f***in Jason Zucker or something to shore up a power play that's sucked since we started shipping out powerplay type talents like Vilardi and Kaliyev instead of having some faith in the guys you've invested 5+ years in.

From the NHL website:

New York claimed Arthur Kaliyev off waivers from the Los Angeles Kings on Monday. He will not play Tuesday.

"Unexpected, obviously, but it’s kind of a dream come true," said Kayliev, who is from Staten Island. "I grew up watching and obviously living down here for a long time. I didn't expect it, but excited and a little bit nervous. It was awesome."

It'll be Greentree, two 3rds and a 2nd for Anders Lee

Didn't think he was particularly worth the hype but to lose him for nothing? oof. This better not be NY's Cinderalla run a la St. Louis Blues.
