Leafs have a better top 6 and 4th line on paper. Just need the core to actually play how they're expected to. Reinhart and Barkov are both selke caliber. Let's see how our 2 selke caliber players Matthews and Marner match up

Florida's 3rd line scares me a bit.

Their forward group is definitely deeper and will be hard to match, but their defense without Ekblad especially is kinda vulnerable. Mikkola and Kulikov are solid 4/5 types but hardly anything that strikes fear, minus Nikkola trying to injure I guess. Bottom pairing is meh, Schmidt can score but also can be taken advantage of defensively. While Forsling is the best D on either team, I like our 1-6 collective group better, even with Ekblad in the line-up.

Game 1 is so important IMO

Set the tone, play your game, don’t be soft, and start off 1-0 in the series

Need Marner and Matthews to be elite, need nylander and Tavares to dominate, need 3rd line to be a pain in the ass + score some goals, need the 4th line to do the same.

Defence needs to hold strong, stolarz gotta be sharp.

Hopefully berube has them ready from puck drop

This is the Leafs' ninth straight postseason appearance, which is the longest active streak in the NHL and tied for the second longest in franchise history.

That other nine-year streak ended in 1967 with a Stanley Cup win.

History repeating itself?
I like the way you think!

I'm so excited! It's going to be an early start into a new vacation day in Turkey! 7 hours time difference, i.e. 3 am starting time. Anyway, it'll be worth it and I can sleep tomorrow afternoon at the beach!

The Leafs haven't lost since I changed to my grey Leafs cap. Let's hope I don't have to switch back to the blue one tomorrow!

GO LEAFS GO!!

Crazy to think the Leafs blew three third period leads and won them all.

Stolarz needs to better than he was in the first round. At the very least, he needs to be better than Bob.

ESPN BET has installed the Panthers as the favorites in the series at -175, while the Maple Leafs are +150 to win the series against the defending Stanley Cup champions.

The Panthers won the regular-season series 3-1 by an aggregate score of 13-7. A major factor in those four games was the Panthers' power play, which converted five of 11 chances (45.5%). For comparison, the Leafs' power play converted only one of nine opportunities (11.1%).

Still can't help but feel like we're going to see Woll draw in this series.

It might seem like a small point, but Stolarz has never in his career played this many games in a row.

It wouldn't be surprising at all if the Leafs lose a game at home to see Woll start on the road game 3
