Where is Rantanen?

Guy has been over PPG in every playoffs except his first, yet because he has a slow start this year on a new team he’s “not that good”.

We should rename the boards the KneeJerk Reaction Board.
cause he had MacKinnon.

disappointing numbers on Carolina, sub PPG numbers on Dallas while being spoon-fed, and now this performance against his old team says it all. he's not a line driver, he's just a PPG player. it is what it is

Don't have the link right now, but I saw a pretty good coach analysis breakdown video showing he made several key plays that lead to the turnover and overtime goal that won game 3 for Dallas on the road.

Of course, a player who was seeking 12+ million still needs a greater point output, but if Dallas still wins the series, a slow scoring start will be forgotten, unless the drought continues, which could happen.

he's been unlucky. 10 high danger chances in the series.

Yeah this. Rantanen lead's the team in scoring chances and high danger scoring changes. In that sense he has been the most dangerous player on the team.

I don't even know if it's bad luck. Maybe this stat represents the problem: he is having a hard time doing one of the things he is really good at: finishing. So maybe it's a self esteem problem.

If he didn't want to leave then he would be with the Avs still. He had a year to negotiate. He wanted the money, that's fine, but he doesn't get to take the money AND act like he didn't want to leave.

You think no one is allowed to regret a failed negotiation?
