They aren't nearly as respected as the Leafs in the handshake line, thats for sure.
One series? I have watched ALL Rangers playoff games for the past 2 seasons and saw EVERY Hawks game that Panarin played in.The comment was “Panarin is a one dimensional player”. That’s more than a commentary on the series. That is an indictment on the player over all, and I haven’t watched enough of Panarin’s career to refute or validate the claim that he is one dimensional.
But then again I’m a baseball guy and may not have your keen eye to make such determinations off of one series. Hence my ask of the ranger fanbase.
Yeah. The Canes were already being anointed the champs of the East. Now that we beat them they were suddenly easy? Revisionist history.I mean cmon the Canes were the #3 team in the league. It was a ton of 1 goal games and the Rangers won them. This series the Panthers won them.
They need to upgrade the backend. Not enough puck movers and too slow.
I think Kakko is done here and could be part of that solution. A disappointing young winger for a disappointing young defender. He needs a change of scenery badly.
Correct. They entered the playoffs as the betting favorite to win the Cup.Yeah. The Canes were already being anointed the champs of the East. Now that we beat them they were suddenly easy? Revisionist history.
The Canes were a damn good team.

The Leafs don't get to shake as many hands, I think that's why
The leafs play for respect, not for the win. That's why.
Canes outplayed them in round 2, but couldn’t get it past Shesterkin. They were lucky to even make it to the ECF.The Rangers in the Conference final gave me flashbacks to watching the Leafs attempt to play playoff hockey in the 1st round.
People will laugh but it’s the truth… some times the weaker team advances and that was the case with the Rangers round 2 win over the Canes. They were outplayed significantly in the last 2 series.
relocate? yesRelocate to Kansas City?
hire his girlfriend/wife as a team doctor for 8m/yr and tell her to confirm that he is no longer able to play nhl hockey.Move mountains to get rid of Trouba
Guy is a flat out terrible defenceman
High cap hit
Attrocious underlying numbers
Complete liability
Brutal combination
If he refuses to waive his NTC contract plant drugs in his locker and terminate his contract
seems like you need him as a tank commander for the next rebuild.we need a #1C and to punt Trouba to the moon. he single handedly lost this series.
You asked if I watched “the games” suggesting from the series it was discernible that Panarin is a “one dimensional player”.One series? I have watched ALL Rangers playoff games for the past 2 seasons and saw EVERY Hawks game that Panarin played in.
Trust me, several of us said he wouldn't be a playoff star a long time ago.
i would love to see your cap calculation for that roster. my guess it wouldn't be cap compliant.Rangers are in very good shape once they get past next season. They will be very active come July 2025. It’s one of the worst kept secrets in NHL circles that theyre gearing up to take a run at draisaitl. And while people wanna pretend all agents dont talk to GM’s ahead of time, I wish I could be that trustworthy and naive.
Come July 2025 the rangers likely no longer have Kreider, Trouba, Goodrow, Kakko, Chytil, Lindgren and possibly panarin. They cant get rid of mika because the NMC
Lafreniere-Draisaitl-Perrault
Panarin-Mika-Boeser
Cuylle-Trocheck-Berard
Othmann-Rempe-Edstrom
Kandre-Fox
Shea Theodore-Schneider
Jones- Vet 6D

You don't need to watch every game to draw that conclusion, just the playoffs. Absolutely zero positive impact. You asked if I watched “the games” suggesting from the series it was discernible that Panarin is a “one dimensional player”.
I said I wouldn’t be be able to draw that conclusion from these games. Unlike you I do not watch every rangers game, thus my question to rangers fans whether that was an accurate assessment of Panarin.
I certainly wasn’t questioning your fandom.
Whatever. “One dimensional player” is a condemnation of a career and was the point of me asking rangers fans if he’s truly been one dimensional over that career. You don't need to watch every game to draw that conclusion, just the playoffs. Absolutely zero positive impact.
Cap should be around $92mm.i would love to see your cap calculation for that roster. my guess it wouldn't be cap compliant.
if i estimate the contracts in rangers favor:
draisaitl 12m
shesterkin 9m
lafreniere 7m
boeser 6m
theodore 6m
miller 4.5m
schneider 3.5m
the rest of the guys would have to accept league minium contracts and it might not be sufficient. now considering agents will price the raising cap into their contract demands and we talk probably about higher contracts for most or even all of them.
pipe dream
