Based on this Quinn stood up against a President, GM (possibly owner) and playing group (less 2 players) who were happy to keep ADA, and got his way. That's a hell of an effort for a 'giant p***y'...

1- As someone very involved in the manhattan social scene, tony was one of the few young rangers who didnt like going out and party. His teammates would always joke around and say that Tony needed to take hockey a little less serious and come out and party more.
2- Outside of 2 guys in particular, he was universally respected by his teammates and was frankly the leader of the young guys
3- too many here are clueless and emotional trainwrecks about his political views. Get over yourselves, youre never gonna agree with everyone on everything. If you guys had even a CLUE about what the majority of nhl players did his age youd probably want to shut down the league.
4- he’s signing a 1 year deal in Canada for roughly $2.5 mill and will kill it

maybe he should have went out with his teammates instead of sitting at home spamming DMs ready to fight every 16 year old Carolina fan on Twitter who sent gifs of him being a pylon in the bubble

Look Mrs. DeAngelo….I’m no expert, but maybe you shouldn’t be so involved in the Manhattan social scene. Maybe if you stayed home more, little Tony might have turned out different.

Cancel culture would be if he was ousted because social media got tired of him. That happened a long time before he was exiled. He was ousted when the Rangers got tired of him.

I agree he'll sign somewhere. Then he'll sign somewhere else. Then he'll sign somewhere else. Then he'll sign somewhere else. Those motivated to do so will point to his point totals to show how successful he's been and his coaches will trust him against the weakest competition imaginable and play him 1:47 per season on the PK. And the legend lives on.
