If I saw signs of this team improving and playing good hockey and losing, I'd feel encouraged and would be fine with keeping Bruno. The lineup decisions. The lack of structure. This is some of the worse hockey I've seen this team play for an extended period of time.
We range from comical peewee hockey to inept and below average. If it wasn't for Saros, we'd get blown out 9-0 every game like clockwork.

Even in the win against the Nucks, I feel the Nucks outplayed the Preds and they were on a b2b no less.

If Bruno is coaching Saturday's game against Winnipeg, I think it isn't just him who has to go. Trotz should also be shown the door.

Now, if Trotz says "we are going to ride it out this season and sell at the deadline and actually rebuild this thing" I'll feel very differently.

Trotz should probably be shown the door either way. I know people say we kept the prospect pool in tact but we traded our top prospect for this to be the result. He’s a great coach but I have zero faith he knows what he’s doing as GM. I’d really love us to actually revamp the rest of the FO staff and rebuild fresh. We’ve unfortunately set our rebuild back by several years because of this offseason but that’s just the price we have to pay.

So who are peoples targets for head coach if we do fire Bruno? Taylor is still the top choice for me and I assume that he will probably be the consensus pick here. Montgomery being available is intriguing too though.

You fire Bruno, Trotz takes over for the rest of the season, his assistant GM can handle the basics until you get to the deadline and need to do the dirty work.

Tell Taylor not to go anywhere, he is next on tap.

Guys we can sell are the "kids". Then there is Nyquist, Sissons, Smith, McCarron, Jank. Schenn, Lauzon.

We have a bunch of old guys on NMCs, with term, that are invisible. Even if they agree to be moved, it's hard to see why any other team would want them without us eating half the contract for years.

Trotz has put us in a terrible situation frankly. About the only silver lining might be to keep Bruno [that's a joke] and bottom out hard for several years and maybe win the ping pong ball derby. OK. Seriously we should get a top pick for a true rebuild. But if I'm ownership, I get rid of Trotz and Bruno. Their decisions have been nothing short of a train wreck. Impossible to have confidence in these guys.

The other player the team could sell if it went full rebuild is Saros since his NMC doesn't kick in until July.

Sell the vets we can:
Nyquist
Sissons
Lauzon

Spread out the remaining vets on the team or find a coach that will and let the team try to gel. Let the kids play

Stamkos - RoR - Evangelista
Forsberg - Parssinen - Tomasino
L'Heureux - Novak - Marchessault
Smith - McCarron - Ozzy
Jankowski

Josi - Skjei
Wilsby - Carrier
Del Gaizo - Schenn
Waiver wire pickup

You still can't let this turd coach the team as a dead man walking.

Especially if we are gonna rebuild, it would make total sense to bring up Taylor and more of the kids.

I don't know how I feel about Taylor. He's had good results in the standings but he hasn't gotten the majority of the kids ready for the show, which should be his main responsibility.
I feel like most of our kids come and hit the ground running pretty well and then get anything they were doing right quickly beaten out of them.
