When does Trotz pull the plug on Brunette?

I don't think they are going to care about what happens with Tomasino, Fabbro, Parssinen, etc like we do, no.

I imagine they have some concern for bottom line $$$, however. Trotz's $100Mish payroll outlay for this season and some of the terms for future seasons must have required at least some level of ownership rubber-stamping? And then that authorization may attract additional attention if we start to see empty seats not long afterwards. It would probably attract similar attention if a head coach who we might owe as much as $10M to over the next 3 or 4 years was fired, and we were still on the hook for that money. But that's all at the pure $$$/business level.
Outside of the one year the owner was talking about selling/relocating the team, has ownership shown any signs of involvement in the hockey operations since the team was formed?
Haslam takes over 1 July and it may change then but currently, they’re all just content with bragging rights at their cocktail parties about being part owner of an NHL franchise.

I think you greatly overestimate the current ownership group’s actual involvement or concern for the decision making that is taking place in this organization.
I think it greatly overestimates most ownership groups' actual involvement. There are a few Mark Cuban and Jerry Jones types, but far more that are only concerned with whether the black line goes up or not.

I'm not all that optimistic on Haslam just because he's stupid rich and his brother is very hands-on with one of the most mediocre organizations in sports.

End of the day, ALL owners do care to some extent about losing a lot of real money. Yes, franchise valuations going through the roof and the ability to brag at the cocktail parties is still probably the main thing. But teams that consistently lose money aren't going to stay out of the crosshairs for too long, even given that.

ESPN (not the #1 source, I know) has a list of hot seat rankings. For those paywalled, the only two "Burning Up" are the Wings and Hawks. Bruno is top of the "Hot in the summer" tier.

If your plan is to post this everyday until he’s fired you’re unfortunately probably going to get carpal tunnel before that happens.
There was a poster on one of the old Kings message boards that would frequent "The Kings will win the Stanley Cup this year!" even in the midst of the really bad years under Lombardi. God bless him and his wrists for his service in eventually willing it to reality.

Sad thing is... i can see us going 2-2-0 over the next 4 games. Ottawa and Montreal and very beatable (even for us).

If we manage to go on a losing streak here (without the loser points), maybe things get reconsidered? I still think he survives unless he does something really stupid.

Trotz for on the radio yesterday and said he needed until Christmas to truly evaluate the team. I'd expect Bruno to be coaching the team until after the holidays then.

I'm beginning to think Trotz has no idea what he is doing and is just button mashing as a gm to try and capture lightning in a bottle again.

Oh no doubt he has some learning to do. The odd thing though is usually someone new/learning will be fairly conservative but jumped in with both feet and just started spraying the area with bullets. Its no wonder there are casualties.

The thing is I would be annoyed but could at least see the logic for patience if this teams core wasn’t already old. But pretty much everyone is on the wrong side of 30 so history would suggest that we don’t really have a whole season to waste seeing what happens. We’re probably already at a point of no return and if we haven’t turned it around by Christmas than we are truly done for. Maybe Trotz has some grand plan to start dumping vets after the holidays but his ability to make trades since Poile retired doesn’t give me much hope.
