Seriously. I watched some of the NJ 3rd and some of the Jays game, then came back to watch the messy stuff in the final 10-15 minutes. Still shocked we pulled that off.
When Matthews scored I was like “now you show up when it’s over” lol. This was me as well.
50 minutes of Tampa outhustling us. /sad
4-1 goal - that’s a big hole to climb out of.
4-2 - meh. meaningless goal. nice pass. can’t get too excited.
4-3. That was quick. Nice tip Matthews.
4-4. JFC. Mo again.
5-4. WTH just happened.
You turn it off for priorities, especially when you've seen 1000s of periods of hockey in your life. If it was a game 7 or Cup Final I would watch to the end.Watched all the way through, of course. Not sure how any fan could turn off playoff hockey.
Life is busy, but I would assume most Leaf fans that turned it off cleared the game time to watch, and would be watching if they were winning. So it sounds mostly like people giving up on the team, not having important things to do. And it results in missing some of the most magical fan moments like this. You turn it off for priorities, especially when you've seen 1000s of periods of hockey in your life.
You also saw this core provide one of the most miraculous comebacks in league history to make up the same number of goals in a matter of minutes just a couple years ago.I have seen the same script with this team for so long I had to assume this game would be a blowout for T.B until this team can convince me otherwise.
Same for me.After Keefe’s post game media availability
