Reaves just needs to land one clean hit to end any one of their stars season.

Since when is Tanev a big tough defenseman? He had among the fewest hits on Calgary’s roster. He’s a defensive IQ guy like Brodie. I like Brodie but we don’t need an even older version of him.

If there’s a guy they’re taking out of Calgary it should be Zadorov.

I'm a bit surprised he hasn't made a trade yet. I wasn't expecting a Nylander or Matthews trade - but a more minor piece. Though I suppose the trade market overall has been fairly quiet the last few days

Feels like something he should have dealt with before free agency. The prices didn’t seem particularly bad, especially given that Murray can still play if he’s healthy.

The later we get into summer, the more everyone gets squeezed for cap space, and the more everyone else sees the desperation. Same thing happened to him with Monahan. There’s no reason that should have cost a 1st, but he waited until 31 GMs knew he was desperate for the space to add Kadri.
