I'm saying that's what I think senior management will do.This ship isnt going to come out of it's flawed build in 2 years.
Time has shown the plan isn't fixable.
We need pieces we cant afford.

Would people actually be happy with a 2nd round exit ? There's even more pressure on these guys next year than there was this year. ECF appearance or he's gone. He should've been fired already but since he isn't, anything short of a ECF and he should be sacked.
They won't make the ECF without any significant changes so may as well save everyone the time and can him now then.
Leafs will give him one more season for sure.
What about Keefe?
nothing changes without change. I don't trust Dubas to fix the problem he created, it's as simple as that. Oh and axe Shanahan too.........
I think there is an under 1% chance the Leafs get that far.
I think there is a 20% chance they barely make or miss the playoffs.
Firing Dubas isn't going to help this team. It would be to trigger a rebuild.
I don't think firing Dubas would hurt the team, mind you.
If Dubas can survive a 4th year of no playoffs, or bowing out without a 1st round win then all hope is lost.
Shanny too must go.Dubas is done if the Leafs don't make the playoffs next season or get ousted in round one again.
How many gms inherit a 105 point team with star rfa's and loads of cap space?
How many of those gms have zero series wins (even missed the final 16 in 2020) after 3 years?
Out of those left, how many got to keep their job for a 4th season?
I have no clue how dubas still has a job as leafs gm.

Dubas should've never gotten the job, he leveraged an interest from the avalanche and essentially strong armed his way to the gm job with the threat of leaving and bad on Shanahan for caving. kinda reminds me of what the young core did to Dubas with the threat of offer sheets. For anyone saying he won the Calder with the Marlies, just check the Marlies payroll compared to other teams, its not even close.
A lot of good GMs get fired. For me, if Dubas starts messing things up, it is time for him to go. I don't missing on a signing. I mean really starts creating problems with the team.
That could definitely bring in a nice secondary piece, but if JT is injured and Matthews and Marner choke it still probably doesn't matter.
