What would it take to get Mcdavid to the Leafs?

Also just an FYI. His two best friends are oilers. I could see if nurse and drai are traded he'd get pissed and might want to leave but we got a solid core he loves more than playing with Morgan Reilly and John tavares.

Because he lived with nurse at one point. Said they're his two best friends.

I am assuming he doesn't really know tavares and Reilly. Maybe a little hi bye type interaction at awards and nhl ceremonies.

He's got a good life here, makes top dollars, plays in the nicest arena in the world and has his friends and girlfriend with him. Not sure the whole "he grew up a fan" arguement will work.

I mean it didn't work for Crosby and the habs.

We have a few of those guys on our team and it sure as hell isnt working right now.
 
Best regular season player by far, but just another player in the playoffs. He would fit right in!
Don't dream about him, rather dream about MacKinnon.

It would take being a contender by that time.



I'm not buying him going here just to play nice regular season hockey for the rest of his carrier.

After what, some 11 years since coming into the league, it will take more than cap space.

I hear he’s also pretty good friends with Auston Matthews. Too bad no one cares. Tavares was really good friends with some Isles like Lee, that didn’t convince him to stay.

What’s your metric for has a good life? How could you possibly know that. He would have friends and a gf in any city. Nicest arena in the world lol okay. The grew up a fan argument worked for us a couple of years ago.

Seems like gm dubas has played his chess and game real good sire. And they still are able to keep him on the joystick of the maple leafs of toronto sire? As our general manager. What life. :clap:

We shouldn't need him.. we have great players, just a trash team structure, work ethic, management etc. Losing culture is a real thing.

IMO, Mcdavid has earned the right to get out of the crapshoot that is Edmonton, but he deserves better than coming to another crapshoot that is the Leafs.

Why would Matthews go to Arizona over Las Vegas? I mean it's a stones throw from his home in Arizona and a very winning organization. Logically it's where he goes in a few years.
