For McDavid? Granlund, Brodin/Dumba + 1st or something like that.

The only deal that I could see being "fair" and that maybe both sides think long and hard about is Matthews + Marner + 2017 1st + 2018 1st

I wouldn't trade for him, the Oilers if they were going to move him would want a franchise crippling return.

I would wait for the first opportunity to sign him as a RFA though, max salary max length.

Larkin, Mantha, Mrazek, 2 firsts, life time supply of Hot and Ready pizzas, and if the league would still allow a lot of money.

Nobody's worth another teams 3 or 4 best players/picks. Just sign him when he hits FA.

I am perfectly happy keeping the players who it would take to trade for McDavid. It has taken years to put together the talent pool that the team is just starting to learn to win with, no way do I want to throw all that away for one player, no matter how skilled.

What are you trying to do to the City of Edmonton?....still living in shame and infamy from the Gretzky trade after all these years.....now they're going to deal another generational talent?

Realistically there's nothing the Oilers could be offered that would change the PR optics of it looking bad.

Trading a generational type Canadian born highlight reel talent who the city has fallen in love with would bring back too many bad memories from a certain trade in 1988.
