Really?I think it is self explanatory but it is because there are only a few hundred pro athletes in each sport that are very specialized at what they do. When is the lady time paid to watch a teacher teach? A doctor perform surgery? A librarian put away books? I could go on...

When it's team rules it's always about the team and not the individual. Bagskating someone or fining one would only be about the individual.

It's simple shit really and it truly is tried by fire. YOU f*** up, WE have to pick up the slack, YOU feel bad, WE become stronger.

Treating people differently based on their skill level within an organization is a great way to send all kinds of wrong messages.

He’s a great coach, players coach like a Keefe, except he actually will do the tough guy bit and bench a star without hesitation and without apology or defense to the media if they deserve it.

I am surprised that Jon Cooper would bench his number one centre before inter-division game! I think it took balls but what does it accomplish? He is also coaching him in the 4 Country Cup.
It obviously did not sit well with the Bolts who laid an egg rather than responding to their coaches decisive move.

I'm kind of puzzled by the question.

This is a team and no player is more important than the team, and no player is above the rules of the club.

There are consequences, no matter who you are, and Point needed to face those consequences.

He broke the rules, so he was left out of the lineup and he let his team down.

Lesson learned and the rest of the players have to respect a coach and his staff that doesn't put up with blatant infractions regardless of who they are.

Nothing anymore nowadays lol…. Hence why some get confused by people needing to be held accountable for their actions. It’s foreign for many people!

If this has a long term effect of the dynamic between Point and Cooper then Point is a hell of a lot more mentally weak then we all thought.
