He already has 1 Smythe he should have got (2016) where he lapped the field. Sharks lost but he completely lapped the field in points.
Now he's leading in points again and could once again lap the field. If it continues then 2nd possible smythe he deserves yet he might end up with 0.
No one talks about him in the best players in NHL, and he's not even mentioned among best players of Sharks. What to make of him?
I don't disagree, but Krejci was rightly recognized as a playoff monster and arguably the best playoff performer then. Couture hasn't gotten such recognition.David Krejci lead the NHL playoffs TWICE in points (2011, 2013), has zero Conn Smythe, and even back in those days he was considered a good 1C but not even remotely close to be "in the best players in the NHL".
**** happens.

So does every team. Doesn't always work that way.I'd rather my best players put up in both situations.
It might still happen if he wins a Cup and leads the NHL in playoffs scoring again.I don't disagree, but Krejci was rightly recognized as a playoff monster and arguably the best playoff performer then. Couture hasn't gotten such recognition.
I was thrown by OP writing “lap the field” twice. I guess it was just a figure of speech
For one, everyone talks about him for being one of the sharks best players. 2. He didn't lap the field in 2016, nor is he doing that now. Why exaggerate? Has he been one of the best players this post season? Of course. But please tell me how he has been so much better than guys like burns, rask, or even Marchand. He already has 1 Smythe he should have got (2016) where he lapped the field. Not sure what the question means, but as an answer "Sharks Logan Couture" is an anagram of "rough teal anus corks" so there's that.
To quote the great Pierre McGuire during a broadcast of a Sharks game once
"Logan Couture is... a hockey player"

No it was just an exageration. Up until this past game he was tied with hertl in points and goals.
Players on losing teams should never get the Smythe regardless of how well they played. It should always be someone that helped their team win the Cup, and there are always at least 3-5 names from the winning team that should or could get it.
I disagree with this post 100%. The Conn Smythe should go to the best player in the playoffs regardless of how their team does.
Who would you rather have matthews or couture needs to be a poll now... the mental breakdowns would be amazingI wish we could have let San Jose have Tavares if we could have received couture. I would have even taken him over Matthews for us since he’s not old and he’s a total playoff stud.
At this point in his career, Couture doesn’t seem to be too interested in the regular season. Same with Vlasic. Could be part of the reason he flys under the radar. Hell, many Sharks fans on here were talking about how bad his contract was during the season.
He isn't one of the best players in the NHL...
