What Roster changes do you make if Marner doesn't waive?

Don't exaggerate.

He has tiny shoulders and would get destroyed.

He doesn't have the physical mass to make significant contact.
He was hitting people more than Matthews was early in their playoff careers. I remember saying to my wife that "even little Mitchy is out there hitting people and Matthews is avoiding getting physical". Now granted, the hits that Mitchy did were not exactly note worthy....but he was at least engaged more than he has been over the last few years. Maybe it was the Keefe effect.

I remember that as well.

And those days are gone.

Mitch is a great hockey player.

We just need his cap space to make changes to this deeply flawed roster.

Tre picked Nylander knowing he wouldn't have the money for Marner.
we have enough to fix the defense this off season, and JT is off the books next.
Berube deserves a chance to see what he can get out of these guys too.

The GM is moving on from Marner.
Shanny basically said so.

Mitch himself needs the change.

Mitch isn't going to "stop crying bro" until he's somewhere else.

I'm less concerned about the guy who is PO'd and more with the one to his right who has no idea whats going on and is trying to ignore it (Matthews and Nylander didnt even flinch).
