I said I wouldn't stay up until 4AM tonight to watch it (game starts at midnight local time), but obviously I've got the popcorn ready. Whatever happens, I'm going to be like

Cool as a cucumber. I don’t let things I can’t control worry me anymore. Helped big time with severely reducing my anxiety. Used to always worry about things out of my control. I will be watching and rooting for the leafs to win this fking game 7, but at the end of the day it’s on the players and coaches to get it done, nothing we can do.

I've calmed a bit.

I hope they win. But my gut tells me they get completely shut down tonight.

I'll stop thinking about them for a few months and maybe I cool off or maybe I won't.

By the time the puck drops it will be just after 9am here. I'll keep nhl.com open but won't be watching the game.

I've already accepted defeat and won't be watching the game.

I've thought about recording the game and just enjoying my night doing other stuff and then check if they won and if they did then watch the game.....

I'm gonna watch though.

If they lose I'm seriously not even paying attention to anything hockey for a long time. I'll always be a Leafs fan and hope they have fun golfing like me. I hope they have to wait longer to go golfing than me though.

Would love to win, not expecting it though, just want it.

Tense.
.
And I doubt that will change until there's less than 2 min of game time left and the Leafs have a big enough lead no comeback is possible.

I’m not angry at all. I was really sick for pretty much a whole year on the dot. I went down to Chicago and got really intense treatment and honestly I’ve been largely un phased for the past month post treatment. It’s just hockey plus it’s kinda expected they’ll lose who are we kidding. If they win I’ll enjoy it if they lose I’ll enjoy having a laugh about it with coworkers tmrw. I'm not willing to let a damn hockey team let me down anymore in life. Win or lose it's about making it enjoyable for you. Neither of these teams will win the stanley cup that much is set in stone. Don't get me wrong I would really like for the curse to end but on the other hand this is a team that will be dressing Joe Thornton who's pretty much just a stripper at this point and a guy who's back is worse than my dead grandpa's. There's no way I want to stoop to that level of loyalty and let it affect me if they lose, not after that. Dubas & co once again showing politics come before hockey.

It’s also the fact that I don’t really have any animosity towards Montreal. All my animosity reserves have been historically booked up by Boston though Vegas is trying really hard to get an honourable mention ever since they came into existence.

tldr: :tmi:

Butterflies, but with a whole lot of the angsty options added in as well. I always get crazy butterflies for big Leafs games and while I still have them, there's a lot of frustration instead. Dread is probably the #1 word I would use to describe my feelings.

I was thinking about this earlier, I need to see, a 7(?) goal lead before I'm comfortable. 4-1 in the third and I think I will have to turn it off.

I find I have a hard time liking a lot of these guys and I only root for them because I'm a Leafs fan. Their disappointment won't mean much to me. My disappointment will be offset by my amusement and the hopes that Dubas is 1 day closer to gone.

On a scale of 1 to 10 my nervousness was about a 7.5 until I heard Muzzin will be out. Now it's about 8.2 and climbing quickly.

If after a few shifts the Leafs haven't shown they came to play, I expect I'll hit 9.5 before reminding myself it's just a game. That'll dial it all the way back to 9.2 or so.

No IF,

Win will be a surprise. Otherwise they had their chance so they cannot blame anyone except themselves.

Good poll options lol

We won 7/10 during the regular season.

We can win tonight but I am used to disappointment at this point.

Im already dead inside watching this team. Pretty sure rock bottom isn't much lower than it's been before. It'll be fine regardless of the outcome.

I voted that I'm used to disappointment with this team.

But "disappointed" is the wrong word. "Angry" is more appropriate. "Disappointed" is how you feel when your players all take discounts and it just doesn't work out (Tampa 2 years ago). But when all your players hold out, take your gm hostage, and demand overpayments before ever again stepping on the ice... and then repeatedly completely disappear in the playoffs... well, "ANGER" is how I'll feel if they underperform so significantly.

Oh come on, people are on a LEAFS BOARD and they actually said they aren’t watching tonight.
