Pittsburgh or a contender, only two options IMHO. Colorado maybe?
You are forgetting Minnesota, you know bill Guerin and MAF being teammates, and winning championship together. That MAF himself said, he doesn't want to move his family again. So you are wrong to say it's only two options

Doubt he'd wanna come to Buffalo, but he'd be a great fit for the Sabres as a stop-gap who can split starts with Luukkonen.

I think he'll stay in Minnesota for 5 million 2 years. It shouldn't be hard to part with Talbot, assuming Wallstedt plays in AHL next year and they're able to sign cheaper 1B backup.

No he won't. He's playing now. He is healthy. You can't just go on LTIR because you feel like it.
Sure you can. You just make something up like they did with Weber. “He’s got too much pain to play”. Read Engles at Sportsnet and all his articles lement over how much effort it takes Proce to be healthy enough to play. How he won’t play if he’s not playing to a standard and can he reach and stay at that standard.

Price is done. He’s got negative trade value and he isn’t going to put himself thru the effort and pain to play on a lousy Habs team.

Since price can’t be traded and the Habs are awful, he’s going to hang it up on LTIR. Habs ownership can afford to stash him there.

When did the Habs move to Toronto? I know Toronto is a really big city but calling Montreal a suburb of Toronto is a bit of a stretch.
He literally blocked any Canadian teams. He's not moving his family to Canada. That's what you are forgetting. Literally before he accepted a trade to Chicago, he waived for Minnesota also ..so he waived for Minnesota 2x. He's not interested in going to Canada

He’s French Canadian. Habs must hold some appeal.

Literally he's in the twilight of hif career. He blocked a trade to not only Edmonton, but Toronto. His kids are going to school in Chicago and his family is still there. He's made it clear family is important to him , and he lives in the us. The wild arrange many visits by his wife and kids to see him. So any decision he makes will be his family along with relationships such as one with bill Guerin

They didn't make something up with Weber. Didn't he have surgery that basically resulted with his ankle being fused? I think I read that somewhere. Regardless, if Weber's doctors say he can't play and his career is over, it is. And likely not team doctors for something like that. Does Price have a condition that would allow him to play to end this season but not be medically cleared by an independent doctor? I doubt it. I think you misunderstand what LTIR is.

I don’t. It’s a charade. Doctors will be able to come up with reasons why his body won’t allow him to play thru a pain threshold.

Many NHL players play thru pain and have ailments that could end their career if they don’t want to continue to play thru pain.

Not to derail the thread, but if you have a source link that Weber had such a surgery I’d really appreciate it.

The media sources I’ve found so far have been very murky on precisely what injury is causing Weber to be unfit to play and whether that injury can be rehabbed.

How are the Wild going to sign him though ? I would think their priority would be to resign their 30g guy in Fiala first. I just dont see where they get the cap room .
They will be moving Fiala as it'll be impossible to keep him without gutting the defense. It sucks, but it is what it is. As for Fleury, I'd love for him to stay, but they would have to move Talbot and bring in a cheap backup since Wallstedt is going to be in Iowa.

I don't. It may have been a baseless rumour. Either way, that doesn't prove that he is well enough to play and has just decided he has had enough line the other poster suggested.
