My personal guess he signs with the Habs after they trade away Price on draft day.
Dream on. Price isn’t getting traded for at least another year. He’s got a reputation to rebuild and that will happen only after 50 or so starts where he stays healthy and plays well.

Replace Price with Allen. Trade Allen and use the cap space to make MAF your 1b to Price as the 1a.

He said to the french news that he wants to play another season

Source : Marc-André Fleury | « J’aimerais jouer au moins une autre saison »

Where do you think he lands next year ? Starter or backup ? I think he'd be worth a try for the Oilers on a 1 year cheapish contract.
He will likely want a contender. If he wants to get paid though, I don't think Edmonton can afford him. Colorado might be looking for a new goalie depending on what Kuemper decides to do. Maybe a return to Pittsburgh? I think their goalie situation doesn't look as awful as it did at the start of the season though.

I don't even think that happens. I'm of the opinion that Price is as close to un-tradable as there is in the game. The fact he's a goalie, and with that contract, plus the fact he's dealing with serious mental health issues, I don't think there is a team in the league who takes a chance on him. He'll either playout his contract in MTL or be placed on LTiR if he can't get his health under control. There are too many variables involved with Price both on and off the ice for any trade to happen. My opinion though.

I can see the Devils inquiring and if need be they offer a year or two longer than other teams in order to convince him to play there . Not sure if he would play for a Penguins rival ? Maybe Brodeur tries to talk him into playing for NJ . He did so with Bernier .

Oh ok.

$10.5M for another 4 years?... and at the goalie position no less. That's pretty comparable.. lol.
In this league.. thats a hard contract to move no matter who the player is..

Let's not joke around that teams have always wanted price and still do.. He will get big offers this summer.

You've just completely ignored the human side of the equation. He's been dealing with very serious mental health issues. There is zero chance he wants to uproot his family and join a new Franchise this late into his career.

Even if there was a team interested, and that is a big IF, I don't see any way Price accepts any trade nor do I see MTL going to him and asking him to waive. This isn't a video game and players aren't fictional characters. There is a real life side to this that a lot of people refuse to acknowledge. Including yourself it seems.

I don't think Im excluding the human factor.

I think when it comes to business, there is quite a bit of interest in finding 3 solid years of Carey price.

If that mean the team who takes him pampers him with every hospital around.. You do it.

I don't think it will be easy, or even doable.. but I think we can't exclude the fact that it's plausible and possible especially over the next two summers.

Pittsburghish
He's 100% signing in Pittsburgh to platoon with Jarry.
Yep, I'd probably be willing to put good money on it. Desmith is a UFA and he's either going to fall on his face and suck in the playoffs with Jarry out and the Pens won't want him back, or he's going to go on a run and price himself off the team. I think MAF wants stability more than anything at this point and the bridge with Vegas is burned.

I disagree. GMs still cling to name recognition and past accomplishments more than they really should. If Price has a bounce back season and the Habs are willing to withhold salary, I could see a scenario where he's traded. It won't be for much but something positive.

Of course, if Price plays well enough, I question if Montreal even wants to trade him. They don't exactly have a heir apparent ready in the wing.

I think he'll go back to Pittsburgh to have one more kick at the can with those guys and end his career as a Penguin, but I could see him going to another contender as well, like if Colorado has a disappointing playoffs and decides not to bring back Kuemper, maybe the Aves try to convince him to do a year there. Otherwise, unless a decent team overpays the hell out of him and he decides to go for the last big payday, my gut says its Pittsburgh.

True. I just think the human side of this makes a move highly unlikely. Given the nature of his illness I just don't see him willing to uproot his family and start fresh at this stage of his career. I don't see it happening.

He resigns with Minnesota. He has talked about not moving his family again. Also with his knowing Guerin from their days as teammates, Guerin has made it clear he will resign him if everything goes well

He’s not coming back to play for a lottery team.
