Mark Stone phantom injury was the most predictable thing of 2022. NHL sucks with these lame rules.
Mark Stone on LTIR with a mystery injury would get Vegas just under the cap with Eichel back.

but a soft tissue injury is one that can be milked for the rest of the season and be miraculously healed for game 1 of the playoffs.Phantom injury?
He has been dealing with back issues this whole season.
May not be that far fetched...
"degenerative back injury"
While Vegas may get a reprieve in the short-term, that sounds terrible for the team in the long-term.
What do you think Ottawa could get from Vegas for helping them out?Bet $4.3M on Ottawa and Arizona leading the league in revenue for March.
Looks like Eichel is back and according to CF they need to move just under 5M to make it work. Who do they move? Dadonov seems like the obvious choice.
They help out enough, Debeor will happily change his name to "Ottawa Senators" so if we win the cup Ottawas contributions will not have gone unrecognised amd will be engraved on the cup forever. What do you think Ottawa could get from Vegas for helping them out?
Watch as Vegas trades for Fleury 75% retained at the deadline.Oh boy lucky Vegas with their 9.5m captain having degenerative back issues.
Looks like hockey trades are back on the menu. First order of business: goaltending.

Curious how these reports come out right now, when Eichel is ready to return. If Stone's back injury is so severe that he has to sit out until the playoffs, why did he just play in the All-Star game when he could have been recovering?"degenerative back injury"

Ask Tampa Bay that last season with Kucherov. He was probably healthy for weeks before he was "activated".No they can't wait till playoffs. Once a player is deemed Healthy, they HAVE TO reactivate him. You can't just keep players on LTIR indefinably.
Can we stop the whole cause tampa did it means so can every other team.... Kuch was never going to be healthy enough to actually play in the middle of last season.
Good. How’s Eichel’s new spine and training coming along?
LOLOMG VGK IS CHEATING!!!!
Yeah, no. Fleury is much beloved in Vegas, but he has a well-established tendency to throw up his skirt in the playoffs, like last year when he passed from behind the net to a Habs player who then gently nudged the puck into the open net and it was all downhill from there.Watch as Vegas trades for Fleury 75% retained at the deadline.
Thanks for the information

Idk if it’s just late and I need to go to bed, but what the heck is “+/- $4.3 million”? Plus or minus implies you can trade away minus $4.3 million. That don’t work.
This was an unexpectedly satisfying response that, if true, clears it up. “Give or take”I could be wrong but since Capfriendly's main guys are french, we sometime use plus or minus (plus ou moins) as an expression to say ''about'' or ''around''
So for his tweet he means ''trade away about 4.3M'' ... ''terminate around 4.3M in cap space''
