Really hoping this kid can come back healthy and challenge for a spot in camp.

Robertson-Domi-Jarnkrok

I could see that being an interesting 3rd line to say the least.

One way or the other, I see this being Robertson's last chance to be a part of the Leaf's future plans.

Either he can stay healthy and contribute, or I see them being ready to move from him, which I think would be a real loss. Kid brings more effort in a single shift than some of our stars put in a season.

He's all about the work hard mantra, hopefully he's learned the work smart one too.

Still pulling for the kid to put it together and be a player for us.

You send him down because there is no available spot.

He's not as good as anybody in the top 9, and doesn't play a 4th line style

Trading a 20 goal scorer and replacing him with a player made of glass would be the opposite of smart
With Knies, Domi and Bert added I think Jarnkrok gets squeezed out of any decent offensive minutes and his scoring falls back to his Nashville days. Turning 32 and just came off a career year so he is never going to be worth more than right now if you want to move that $2.1M per.

Looking at his advanced stats the only regular that seems to have really benefited from him as a linemate is Kampf. He seems like a pretty safe guy to remove.

I think Robertson could put up 20 goals in the top 9 and 2nd pp unit. I'd give him every opportunity to prove himself.

Kid has had a really tough time staying healthy. He was starting to look like an NHL player last season so I still have hope for Robertson cracking our top nine this up-coming season. We’re going to need a few players on their ELC’s in our lineup given our salary cap mess.

No space for an extra forward due to our 4th line costing 5 million.

Assuming Holmberg > Robertson at this point due to position and just being better.

Echoing a suggestion earlier, boost his stats and at first opportunity move him. My add: For defensive depth or a pick.

It's more a result of our 2nd line costing $21M to $25M unlike any other team in the NHL.

He's constantly hurt.

That's his fault
Some of that is a consequence of the lack of systematic development path for the player. The old GM was determined to prove Robertson was a draft steal by expediting his NHL career.

He has an nhl shot but the fear he’ll never be strong enough to avoid getting mauled. If he gains weight and enough strength he could play somewhere.

Play the kid! And play him with Someone that can get him the puck in a good shooting lane. I would try him on the third line with Max Domi and Jarnkrok.

Maybe I'm wrong but it always seemed like he either didn't have the hockey sense or the speed to get himself into those shooting lanes. He did play with centers who wouldn't have had much problem feeding him if he simply could get there.
