An NHL goalie should stop a wrist shot from the top of the circle. Screened? Sure, maybe he was. But he doesn’t deserve the the benefit of the doubt.

He just doesn’t ever make a timely save.

Oh I agree, I am not giving him a pass. It should be 2-1 at worst. But we can't overlook the absolute garbage in zone play that gives up chance after chance high danger areas night after night. It's not even getting outmuscled. It's not knowing what to do, where to be or when. It's really painfully difficult to watch this same thing happen year after year after year.

The problem with focusing so much on the goalie is it ignores the absolute dogshit play of the skaters.

What goalie are we throwing in there that’s going to make this team respectable with shooters have oodles of time wide open in the slot?

There’s no team play going on. It’s five skaters trying to figure it out on the fly.
